Not sure if anyone heard about this story.

First we had this - liberal prof thinks she's busted Paul Ryan for being a hypocrite for drinking expensive wine in a fancy restaurant right after he proposed his "mean" budget. (Interesting that she too was dining there and drinking wine).

Talking Points Memo (left site) gets the story and turns it into a potential ethics violation.

Rep. Ryan Tastes The Grapes Of Wrath | TPMDC

Turns out, Ryan paid for his meal and wine himself and the folks he was meeting with were not lobbyists.

Is this what we've come to? Why the hell should this woman care what Paul Ryan does with his money?

Agree its petty.

Ryan should be assailed for bad policy, not what he had at dinner.

because when your emotions rule and you don't think, this is what happens.

liberals are like that 2 year old in the mall, they just scream until you give them what they want.

speaking of expensive wine:

Million dollar drop as wine tumbles | Herald Sun

IT was certainly an expensive drop - more than $1 million worth of shiraz wine has gone down the drain after it was dropped by a malfunctioning forklift.

The 462 cases of 2010 Mollydooker Velvet Glove shiraz - at $185 a bottle - fell more than 6m to the ground as it was being loaded for export from Adelaide to the US.

Mollydooker?

Winegate is that I can't find any store that will special order me a case of a Spanish wine that I rather enjoy, but cannot find anywhere shy of a Fleming's restaurant.

The idea that fiscal responsibility of government should also mean fiscal responsibility for the people is rather asinine.

Hell, if we mirrored government spending, or were expected to, we'd all be in debt.

because he didnt share the wealth and buy hers. thats what im guessing

She took a picture of his wine bottle but was stupid enough to include her own wine bottle in the picture, it may have cost less than Ryan's but it was quite pricey also.

It's okay because she isn't advocating cutting entitlements (her logic).
