What does everyone think about this? Will he ever amount to anything. Oh yeah who straps them self to a bike?!?!? :eek:lol: :dlol: :eek:lol:

Quote from ESPN.com
"The 21-year-old Winslow had minor visible injuries. He was wearing a helmet, but it wasn't strapped on and flew off his head, Arcuri said. He landed in a landscaped area at the edge of the parking lot, falling hard enough to tear out a small tree."

As a military man, I wasnt offended by his comments about being a Solidja or whatever he said.

I hear he works his ass off and always plays hard.

Refreshing

but the fact of the matter is that he isn't a soldier. just another player who smarts. his comments after the tennessee game were very distasteful. he's not even a quarter of the men that serve our country. he's prolly my least favorite player out there.

He's been really unlucky. He only lasted 2 games last year before a season ending injury. Actually had 5 catches in those 2 games which I guess isn't all that bad for a TE playing the 1st 2 games of his career.

Injured, unproductive... Same same. He's getting payed and not doing anything. Time to take a chunk out of his pay.

i read on kffl.com that he may miss the enitre 2005 season because of this. correct me if i'm wrong but i think he missed most of last season too because of injuries.

...and they'll probably take a chunk out of his signing bonus since he violated his contract by riding a motorcycle.

He never said he was nor did he imply that he was.

I think the media took his comments and blew them way out of proportion.

I don't know one actual military man that was offended by it.

If anything, everyone in my base laughed at people going nuts about it.

I wonder if he got up, looked at the bike, and asked it if it was going for his knees and told it that he was a soldier and riding bikes is war?

how stupid. :banghead: I went get on a motorcycle for anything.

Why not? Winslow probably had no idea what he was doing on that bike and a GSXR is for experts only, even Suzuki will tell you that. If you take the time to gain experience on a beginner bike THEN move up, the experience is unbeatable. Nothing like riding a motorcycle.

I have nothing against K2 he is one of the hardest working players I have seen! I did not say one of the smartest( trying to do tricks on his bike) but the man can flat out play! He is a competitor that wants to win who can blame him for that?

Who? The media?

I can tired of people bashing the kid. He made a stupid mistake by mentioning the war crap.

Listen, not one person in the military should have been offended....nor was anyone I work with even remotely offended. People use war references every damn day!

Yet he is villified to no end because the sensitivity in this country borders absurd.

He works his ass off on the practice field, weight room, and film room yet because of a comment he makes in college people "hate" the kid.

Get over it people. His father is a idiot and he made a mistake driving his bike.

You would think he ran over a school of nuns the way people dislike him

I don't like him because he accused our players of playing dirty. Going for his knees etc. Yeah, he works hard and he's a great athlete, I just didn't like his accusation on National TV.

Agreed U-T . . .

He shot off his mouth a couple of times and now people are reveling in his misfortune. Maybe it's slightly ironic that he's sustained a couple of major injuries, but I don't how people laugh at a guy getting hurt.

What he said was stupid....on many levels.

But the myth about him is ridiculous.

He was pegged as a snot nose brat when he first arrived at Browns camp because he ran every play 100% and hit everyone as hard as a game causing some to dislike him.

BUT

He also worked harder then anyone in the weight room and shut his mouth once his teammates talked to him.

I will take him on my team.

How said hate?

He was a SORE loser while at Miami. Its just a D*** game not life. He's got to redeem himself to alot of people in Cleveland. Personally I could care less what he does in the pros or anyboby else for that matter. The pros is a joke anyway. Money...Money...Money

Did the media force him to cry like a baby after they lose a game? NO
