Pre-injury:

"Wisconsin returns just one starter up front in Thompson Jr. As a junior, Thompson had his best season as a Badger, recording 29.0 tackles, 3.0 sacks, and 5.5 tackles for loss. He also had a career-high two pass breakups in his 13 games of action."

"Thompson, a four-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree"

Actually came back and played later this past season starting with the Nebraska game in November

Love seeing PBUs from defensive linemen. An underrated stat that usually shows the player hustles, has good awareness, and creates plays for others as tipped passes are gifts to LBs and Safeties.

He said Tennessee set the bar high on the visit even though he wasn't here long. Thompson is now headed to SMU. Illinois is up after that then Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. Said he wants to make a visit sooner rather than later and when he finds a place he will be done. No need to drag it out. Obviously wants to have something to compare Tennessee to.
