It's hard to accept that the color of the jerseys had much impact on that game. It may have charged up the guys for the first five minutes, but after that you have to play football.

So far I have not gotten the impression at all that CBJ is the sort of coach that allows players to "get what they want." In fact, he was specific in the PC is softening the idea that he is a "player's coach."

My initial impression is that he is the kind of coach that is willing to get dirty with the players. He is willing to invest a great deal emotionally into them. Unlike other coaches who are much more distant.

I don't see, necessarily, how this equates to the players gaining more control over anything. It seems to me he is the one always calling the shots.

They won't get Nike. Contract is with Adidas.

FWIW Cincinnati is also an Adidas school and their uniforms look pretty good.

There's a balance between going away from tradition and bringing the unis in a more modern look. Still possible to be the classic O/W with new numbering fonts, stripes, etc.

I don't know about black uniforms, but he may change something up. He changed up the helmets here (had a white, two black, and a red matte version). I bet the team will wear pink for breast cancer.
