A lot will depend on the capability of coaches who enter the conference after Saban leaves, or just how good some of the recent coaching hires end up being. Phil looked primed to be in control of the SEC after Spurrier left, but Saban and Richt turned out to be great coaches, who entered the league the year before Spurrier left and the same year Spurrier left respectively. And of course the next coach that UF hired (Urban) ended up being a great coach.Fulmer was 94-20 through the 2001 season when Spurrier retired. Look what happened to him afterwards.
