What positions are we going to recruit over? Its not stars based. We have only a few spots left for OL, LB, DT an RB seems to be a spot of interest with who the coaches have been to see recently. I will hang up and listen.

I hate this scholarship limit thing. Wonder if I can sue the NCAA for contributing to my high blood pressure? :eek:lol:

Why did the SEC have to frick things up and impose this asinine "limit" this year. What was wrong with just leaving it a 85 scholarship players at one time?

Okay, I know this would be totally against the spirit of the rules, but is it possible to invite kids as "walk-ons" and then award them with scholarships? With all the dismissals and transfers, I assume we have plenty of scholarship space.

And to answer your question, 3 or 4 more Offensive linemen is a MUST. An elite LB would be nice as well.

Everything else we fill in with the best playmakers.

We have 5-6 spots left if everyone qualifies. We have 3 almost locks. 2 are at OL. One is not a RB but a guy we will run the wild cat or gun packages with. So I would say LB and DB are going to get at least one more each. Maybe one more DT if Brown is really having trouble with grades. And 2 more OL guys. JMO

The SEC's new rule affects how many we can sign, but not how many we can actually enroll this year.

I am assuming 27 total (Im not counting 30 bc even if we do sign 30, 3 will be sign and place and they won't contribute..ala James Green)

I think you can count on signing 3 more OL which would leave 2 open spots... we are still in on some highly ranked recruits and I don't think we get a rb... So the last two spots could go to a lot of different players regardless of position...

That is all based on not having anyone decommit...

Who do you count as our 3 "locks"?

well we need to shoot for having 28 commits. with all the people leaving and getting kicked off the team we need some depth bad. we need to get the best players we can but if it looks like we got all the top talent we could get we need to look for some low key 4 stars and 3 stars to give us some depth.

The only thing different with the rule is that you can't plan on signing and placing more than 3 guys. It's really just streamlining everything. It doesn't typically affect a program that doesn't rely heavily on JuCo players such as ours will be.

So we can only enroll 25 of those 28, right? So that means we have to place 3 guys or expect that 3 wont qualify this year?

Sabs, how do you see this playing out in terms of who we get and who may decommit? Not looking for concrete, take it to the bank predictions, just your opinion.

The max total that we can enroll in the fall is 27.... 25 (SEC yearly limit) plus 2 ee's that we backcount...

Is it bias or just slow updating when it comes to Rivals showing how many UF players have actually enrolled on their commit list and it only shows that Matt Simms and Kenbrell Thompkins have "signed" with us?
