With the benefit of hindsight, Dooley or Muschamp?

Back when we were searching for a coach after L.K. left, many of us (myself included) wanted Muschamp to be the next coach, but he wasn't interested.

Knowing what we now know about how things turned out with Dooley (including the behind-the-scenes stuff), and the abysmal job Muschamp is doing at Florida, if you HAD to choose between Muschamp and Dooley to be your next coach, who would you choose?

I realize this is kind of like asking someone if they would rather burn to death or freeze to death, but I'm interested to see what people have to say about it.

They won 11 games last year. Dooley won 9 his last 2 yrs. Muschamp is a jerk and a bad HC, so is Dools. Muschamp is the winner by a nose.

But, Muschamp is about to lose 8 games and Dooley didn't:p

I agree though- Muschamp by a nose.

I never wanted 'chump.

Never really had the opportunity to not want Dooley as fast as it all happened.

Both bad choices. The Saban coaching tree has no living branches, they all wilt and die.

They are both program destroyers, doesn't really matter who you go with.

No one was a worse HC than Dooley, he failed at everything. I guess that makes Muschamp the tallest midget in the room. (No offense to little people)

Muschamp had one bad season, ever season was bad with Fooley

This is true!! Dooley never went 4-8 BUT He also never won 8 or 9 games it is a toss-up. Florida under Muschamp had ALOT better recruiting than Tennessee so they are underachieving more than we did, with maybe the exception of last year.

Why isn't anybody talking about "team speed" and the fact that Florida lost that game today because of "team speed"?

Did not think of that but that is a good point.

I based mine opinion on Saban taking the Texas job and possibly Smart the Bama job.

Longhorns have a long memory. Texas wouldn't bring back Muschamp as DC (defensive coordinator or dog catcher).

Because they lost it due to an inordinate amount of injuries and they're on their 3rd QB. And quite honestly, for a Fla team to lose to Ga Southern, they had to be very ill prepared and very poorly coached. They don't appear to be slower than molasses in an ice storm like UT does.

C. None of the above.

Seriously... At least Muschump was a good d coordinator. So I guess he'd be the better guy. Plus he seems to work hard, but neither have what it takes to be a good head coach

I admit, I wanted muschamp after kiffin left, but I'd say he and dooley are equals in terms of head coaching incompetency.
