Underachievers underachieve....same goes for the men's squad....or both coaching staffs with the level of talent they have on both rosters. :dunno:

It is what it is. The UTAD likes being OK in all sports.

With the talent the Lady Vols have, they should be playing much better. The blame has to fall squarely on the shoulders of Holly Warlick.

People will blame Holly for this loss, but I watched the game and never saw Holly on the floor. It wasn't Holly who missed all those second-half shots or committed all those second-half turnovers. Plus, ND is the best 3-point shooting team I've seen in a long time.

No three they took was contested. We never made a single adjustment to what they were doing to get shooters open. They sliced the zone up like a knife through butter and we didn't do anything differently the whole game. The first half we shot with them but our defensive play was terrible that half.

One coach made adjustments when things were not working, the other coach did not. The coach that made the adjustments won.

This entire Athletic Department is a disgrace, they continue to hire coaches with no resume with the exception of Butch Jones. We are witnessing the demise of everything Pat Summit built and it is truly sad.

Same problem happened under Pat when the Lady Vols played a good outside shooting team. TN recruits lots of tall young women to play the interior defensive positions, but the perimeter defenders want to sag in every time an opponent passes or dribbles into the interior of the defense. Then the opponents outside shooters have uncontested shots. Holly needs to tell TN's perimeter defenders to play the perimeter and let the big girls handle the interior defense.

Any and all that apply. It was the saddest of days when Pat Summitt stepped down. As much as I respect Holly's contribution through the years, she needs to find a way to get under these girl's skin. Make one of them step forward, and push the others. Someone has to be a Parker, Anosike, Marciniak. A leader that makes the others play to their potential. Mostly, if Holly learned anything from Pat, she needs her stare. Have not seen it from her yet.

The AD has only hired 2 coaches, Butch and Holly. The longtime assistant to a great coach is the logical successor to said coach. Had Holly not been hired, there would have been hell about that too.

With that in mind, I don't believe Holly is working out.

EDIT: I think he also hired the women's soccer coach, who made the NCAA tourney in that first year.

I think water boarding is in order.
