I can already see it now:

1. UCONN women could make the NCAA tournament
2. Candace Parker could play in the NBA
3. Cheryl Miller was better than her brother

They should be thankful they have their own professional sports.

I think it's funny how they use Billie Jean King as some sort of proof that it can be done when everyone knows it was a farce.

That and holding up Danica Patrick as some example seems strange considering she's won one race.

Can women play sports with men? Sure. Professionally? Not as likely. There are just somethings most women flat out can't do. Don't have the muscles. I don't mean that as a slight at women. Its just a fact. Unless Brittany Griner had Maya Moore's skill set she couldn't possibly play in the NBA. In sports where you are playing the court or field as much as your competitors women have a better chance.

In sports like bowling, tennis, darts, pool, etc, that don't require physical strength, sure women can compete with men. But in sports that require physical strength, such as football and basketball, women can't even begin to compete with men. Facts are facts, and women are the physical inferiors of men.

i wouldn't really put tennis in that category.

Others, such as former LPGA champion Annika Sorenstam and Baylor basketball player Brittney Griner, have brought attention to their sports by competing with men, or mastering a skill once thought to belong strictly to the male domain, such as dunking.

LOLWUT? Griner, a woman?!
