Wonder what will happen to the VFL program

Despite Dooley's utter failure as a head coach, I do think the VFL program was a great idea. I kind of hope the program sticks around and continues to evolve/improve. I hope it doesn't go away.

I thought Dools fired the VFL coordinator.......Lott maybe?

The VFL program is just a more public version of what UT has always done with their football players. To be honest, it probably needs to go back to the drawing board, because we haven't had any stability in that department either.

I don't know what will happen with the program. However, the past three years on this board have created a simple association with the letters VFL. They were the final three letters (usually followed by an exclamation mark) on countless posts on this board that almost always included a paragraph of Dooley slurping. That's what I think of every time I see those letters because it makes me think of all the sheep who responded to anything critical being said about our coaches during this pathetic era.

The VFL program is on hold, due to lack of reserves..only 1.9 million

Call me cynical, but I thought from the very beginning that the whole VFL thing was a PR/marketing stunt; they probably had been doing that stuff the whole time and just decided this was a good way to draw more attention to it, especially with a lack of success on the field.

Antoine Davis replaced Lott and is actively handling the program. I expect it to continue in some manner. The new coach will want to tie the past to the future and develop the character of the players.
