Woods Misses Cut

Probably one of the most amazing feats that nobody ever talked about that much. Imagine not having a bad week at work for 6-7 years.

It's impressive allright.

I have a bad week at work about three times a month. B)

Whatever TV network that is carrying the tournament this week is DEFINITELY having a bad week. The ratings for this weekend will suck compared to what they would have been with Tiger in contention.

 yeah, that probably won't happen 'round here.

Truly one of the greatest feats in sports history. Catch the irony that the streak was broken at the "Byron Nelson" tourney, who held the record P.T. (pre-Tiger)?

You know, it's really not a "bad week," but one BAD DAY that does it in golf. How many times have we seen one of the greats blow up for a 78 or so once in a while. 7 years is unreal. The ESPN article ranked only Ripken, Dimaggio, and UCLA hoops above Tiger in "All-Time Streaks." Honestly, I might even leave Ripken out of that list. No offense -- GREAT feat -- but he just played. Tiger played WELL.

Hats off to Woods. And, don't worry. . . . . he'll be back.

A pretty weak leaderboard despite the fact that the top 5 players in the world are in the field:

T1 Sean O'Hair -9 F
T1 Brett Wetterich -9 F
3 Ted Purdy -8 F
4 Billy Mayfair -7 F
5 J.P. Hayes -6 F

I'm sure this will shake out over the weekend.

You know, Tiger is pretty awesome, but I do not watch the PGA just to see him. Probably lots of people do, but I watch whether he's there or not.

It's not really that big of a feat. Golf is fixed. It's all done with moveable greens that ensure Tiger's putts will go in. He didn't really "make" that chip on 16 at the Masters. There were magnets in the ball and hole. The powers that be decided he needed to "miss" a cut in order to bring some excitement back into the game.

This sounds AWFULLY familiar. Bham, methinks your state is finally rubbing off on you. Next thing you know, you'll be yelling things like "Cheaters!" and "Bear lives!" :eek:lol:

Just checking to see if anyone remembers the link to the thread about the Masters that was quite possibly the dumbest thread of all time.
