Expert: UK's Woodson can wrap up Heisman vs. UF - College football - MSNBC.com

The Kentucky Wildcats (6-1) could move closer to their first major bowl game since Bear Bryant roamed the sideline. The Florida Gators (4-2) could throw the SEC East race into some potential chaos.
All in all, Saturday’s Florida-Kentucky game is as interesting as it has been in a generation (Kentucky hasn’t won since 1986, the year before Tim Tebow’s birth).
Well, here’s a subplot that you probably hadn’t considered.

Thoughts?

Woodson can't win it against the Gators, but Tebow could be completely dropped from consideration against the Wildcats.

He could be a better contender with the win, but like the others said, there is still more football to be played. He did not play well at all against SC so he has to do well the rest of the season to make up for that.

He hasn't been anything special against any SEC team this season. Hasn't had a game where he threw for 300+ yards or completed 60% of his passes. Unfortunately for Andre, the bulk of his stat-padding games were early in the season. I never thought there would be a day where I would pull for the Gators to beat someone by about 70 points, but it'll happen this Saturday.

If you aren't the best player in your conference then you shouldn't win an award for being the best player in college football.

Anyone who has the last name Woodson, plays in the SEC, and plays QB is a lock for the Heisman. Even if his team is 0-11 he should win it. :eek:lol:

No kidding. You could make a case that he's only the 3rd best QB in his own division, much less best player in the country.

it's a story. KY football being relevant this year, nothing more. he can position himself for it in this game, but not win it.

plenty of the other guys in the running have lots o games left.....plus, i have a feeling FL is going to drill KY anyway, so it wont' matter.

Considering that Woodson and Tebow are pretty even in stats, tomorrow really is a big day.

Don´t forget that UK has beaten the 2 other Heisman candidates that it´s faced this year. In both games, Woodson played pretty well.
