Woody Page Comment On John Ward

I'm sitting here watching Cold Pizza and Woody made a rather neat comment. The question was ask: "Do announcers matter when your watching a sports game (referring to the new MNF announcing team)" Woody's response involved......."Many local guys make you want to listen even though the team can stink......He referred to John Ward at UT when they were bad and he even said "Touchdown time in Tennessee" was something that always fired him up. Just an interesting Tidbit I seen. I may like Woody Page even more now

Paige attended UT, and I've heard him say before on PTI that he knew Fulmer in college; he usually speaks very highly of all things UT.

I like Woody Paige. On Around The Horn, he is completely hit or miss. Sometimes you watch him and say "Wow, those are really good points." And sometimes you watch him and go "What are you thinking?!" Either way he's fun to watch.

And on Cold Pizza, he just slaps Skip Bayless (Vandy grad for those of you who don't know) around. It's pretty good television.
