Well i know no one else will care but I just won $3100 in a texas hold em tourney on-line, i have been playing these things for about a year now winning small amounts, but this is my biggest so far

Very nice. I've had a few friends do that, and I consider myself a pretty good hold 'em player, but no way I could sit in fron of the computer that long.

but hell i am not going to complain i made $750.00 hr., i usually win like 20 bucks here and their, just enough to keep my account with a little to play with and i finally win one!

im going to take that as a compliment, trust me it doesnt happen all the time. I do very well though, on a good week i make like 400 and on a bad week like 100. I love to play poker on-line. But to win 3000 was an absolute shocker to me when i won

my friends quit playing me here, so i havent gotten to play against people in a while, i did go to MGM in detroit last week but i lost a couple hundred!

well their is a new law that just went into effect like 2 months ago where you can no longer gamble on-line in the US, but 95% of poker sites still do it. Also your bank has to accept the money(if you win) but most sites have made it where when they put the money in your account it doesnt show up as a gambling website! I just won on VIPpoker.com, I am part of NPA(national poker alliance) and they are pushing to get rid of this law. A couple good sites you could go on is VIPpoker.com,pokerstars.com. I use VIPpoker

poker online is basically about the run of cards you get, be patient and wait for the right time to bet.

PartyPoker.net is a good site to go and practice for free.

Nice win! I use to play alot of online poker. I haven't played online in about 2 months. Online poker takes alot of patience and discipline. If your willing to sit on the computer for 4-8 hrs. at a time you can make some decent money. The most I ever one at once was 2,000 on a WSOP satellite tournament. Which was great, the only bad thing was I got paid for finishing second. First place was a trip to the W.S.O.P. ,sigh... Anyways congrats and wish you luck at the tables!

i put in 50 bucks a year ago and now have like 6000 from it, and thats just the money on my account right now, thats not counting the money i have had deposited in my bank account so its not really that bad. esp for a college kid ya know
