I have an offer to trade parking passes in order to get a few together with friends in the "World's Fair Lot." Anyone park there and have info on line of sight for satellite, lined off/grassy space for tents, access to power outlets, or other info/advice? I need to decide quickly.

There's a lot on the north side (I think) of WFP that is one of the RV lots, is that the one you're talking about?

I think it's one of these two lots, doesn't look too promising for power

Yes, it's the narrow lot in the center of the picture, just north of the art museum. There are a few RV spots, it looks like.

you'd be able to pull a sat signal but no power. need a generator. you should already have one, anyway :) That lot actually starts at a high eleveation at world's fair park entrance and declines to Grand Ave across from the Foundry. The lower down in the lot and the closer to 11th street you get, the worse it would be to pull a signal, but still probably ok.

Practically ever spot of grass in that area is on a hill, so good luck with tents or fighting for one of the few spots one would fit squarely.

Get a power inverter. You can hookup to battery or existing battery. You can buy these from $30-$70 at any retail store. I have plenty of power with 750 watt inverter and have it hooked to a deep cycle battery... which will last me all day and is quiet.

tried that a long time ago and never could get it to work. how long does your battery last and how do you charge it?

I bought a good deep cycle battery at Walmart on sale for 89.00 4 years ago. I normaly charge it 12 hr before I tailgate. I have it in a step n stor tool box so it will protect battery and protect automobile. You can go cheaper with a $60 battery but always better to have more than what you need. I tailgate around 6-7 hrs and never ran out of power.
