I may have missed people talking about this but did anyone else notice Worley out there throwing blocks for our running backs. This is not generally something you want to see from your quarterback but I gotta say, I loved the effort.
I'll hang up and listen.....

I wouldn't call it "blocking"

My problem was he got out of the backfield quicker than Neal...which...uh...should NOT be the case. And...Worley may get his a$$ handed to him out there in the open field against better teams

Thanks for your call, caller. How come you didn't ask Jones how he was doing?

I will say this, some people will get upset at a QB doing that and putting themselves at risk but I want a guy who doesn't think he just goes out there and does what is needed to win the play and game. I pray he doesn't get hurt but I want someone who is WILLING they don't have to become a full back or Tebow when scrambling.

It is better to have a gutsy QB that's willing to sacrifice that you have to rein in to protect himself than one you are trying to always push to get in the mix and show a little fire.

He's going to get his azz cracked if he tries that crap against a real team............

If I were the opposing coach, I'd say light his azz up every time he crossed the line of scrimmage.

I'll give you that. They weren't particularly good blocks but I liked the effort and willingness to sacrifice himself for the team. Yes, it is troubling that he would be out of the backfield faster than Neal.

Worley blocking and running is a scary scenerio. If Worley is injured, I'm not nearly as confident in Peterman, after his play against Austin Peay. Apparently this is part of Jones play book......time will tell if it's going to work.

I don't think it was designed for him to block on because the plays he did block on were ones were Rajon cut it back the other way because that's where the hole was. Worley was just carrying out his fake like he was supposed to and just happened to be in a position to make a block on those plays.

It just something we aren't used to seeing because Bray never carried out his fakes.

The FSU QB was doing the same thing on Monday night. I think the risk of injury is greater than any benefit.

Yeah. I'm thinking after that performance that his status as #2 is to preserve the RS's for the other two guys. I hope Peterman comes around but he really seems to struggle with decisions right now.

Hell far, let this boy play football in all its aspects, and get the #3 man ready just in case. Our days of "playing not to lose" are over.

All I can say is EFFORT! That's something we haven't seen in this team in a long time. It feels good to see the players giving %100. Go VOLS!
