Remember 06 when UGA had no QBs with any experience? They hyped up "Joe Tereshinski III, 3rd generation UGA football player" into a grade A game manager that was sure to take Diddy's dawgs to a bcs bowl game.

Long story short, after an injury the true freshman, Matt Stafford, came in and struggled, but got experience. When JT3 (haha) came back, he sucked and Stafford took over for good.

Hope that's what we have in store here. Dobbs looks like he wants to be aggressive and win, not keep his int's on the stat sheet low. And oh yeah, he can actually hit North in stride.

Edit: hope Worley doesn't come back just to be replaced. Hope Dobbs Meta World Peaces his way to some wins.

I get what you are saying, but I sure hope you don't wish Worley comes back and sucks. Regardless of how Worley has played, he deserves respect and praise for how he has managed the offense during big games this year.

It may not come to that. Maybe WorleyBirds injury will keep him sidelined for four more weeks and the decision on who the starting q.b. will be worked out during the summer.

Peterman will likely transfer. Then there will be a 3 man competition for the starting job. Sophomore Dobbs, Senior Worley & Red-Shirt Freshman Fergy....

This. While I'm loving what Dobbs bring to the table I have mad respect for Worley. Dude gives his all for Tennessee and isn't backing down from anyone no matter the circumstances. I want what's best for the team but no one should trash Worley for what he's done this year

I respect Worley but it was Sad for him to see plain as day how much more skilled Dobbs is. Broken thumb or not lol

Do you really believe that by using ONE HALF of a lopsided game that you can make such a sure fire evaluation like this?

If Dobbs or Fergy were far superior to Worley they would have been starting against Austin Peay.

Bottom line is Worley is simply too inaccurate with his passes and practically refuses to keep the ball on the read option.

It boils down to this. Coming into the season, the freshman didnt have spring season like Worley and Peterman and there really didnt seem to be a clear winner with Worley getting it due to having taken snaps and being the upperclassman. Keep in mind that the coach decided to burn Dobbs' red shirt not Ferguson's which puts Dobbs ahead of Ferguson. One more thing is that after Dobbs went in, it was a 10-10 game.

Our situation looks more like Bray vs. Simms to me. Bray came in, was light years better than the game manager Simms and he leads us to some wins and a bowl game. I think you'll see the same exact thing this year with Dobbs.

With Dobbs's redshirt being burned, I see almost no reason to NOT play him next week. Even if he struggles a bit and we lose, it gives Worley a chance to heal. How certain can our game plan be if we play a QB who is one slap on the wrist away from being unable to play the game?

Playing the healthier guy allows you to script your offensive game plan a bit more this week. The coaches obviously call the game a bit differently when Dobbs is in. If you play Worley, you basically have to prepare two different game plans.

Yes, it was a 10-10 game after Dobbs went in. The game was already over at that point. If the game hung in the balance when he came in, and we played them even, I would be more impressed. I will admit that he looked good for his first action.

What I liked best was that he actually ran the ball on the read option. That keeps the defense guessing on who has the ball. With Worley, almost every time he will hand the ball to the rb. No guess work is involved for the defense in that situation and they can stack the line. UT will more than likely not pick up a chunk of yardage if the defense knows what is coming. I am not trying to knock Worley, but I am only stating the obvious.

Talent wise: Bray >>>>>>>>> Worley but if I had it to do all over again I would choose Worley.

Now Dobbs is no Bray when it comes to childish behavior or lack of respect (so it seems) but my point is, there are reasons why Worley was the starter and he did manage a hearted win against SC. If the coaches choose Dobbs or Worley, then I will respect the decision and cheer for them.

Instead of cry like a whiny armchair QB
