Dobbs, Ferguson or Peterman may beat him out next year with more practice and experience, but this season I think it is obvious that a healthy Worley gives them the best chance to win.

Which is what Butch said over and over again. It also speaks very, very poorly of our staff to develop a QB. Dobbs, 4-7 for 5 yds and 2 ints at this point, is absolutely inept and has regressed just as much as the rest of the team. This is really bad.

This will be the prevailing opinion until he enters the game...then the opposing threads will begin

Dobbs is a much better athlete and will only get better... and we haven't seen anything from Ferguson.... so I really hate to see so many decisive fans

Rarely do freshman, 3rd string, quarterbacks play, dude. Give the kid a break. He shouldn't even be in the game, but has to be due to RF being injured (from what I've read) and two broken thumbs on the other quarterbacks.

Very sad, but true....

The fact that Worley is the best is pretty damn pitiful...

Why not play Ferguson, if he's got potential, and give him some experience. His redshirt isn't THAT important. We NEED to have good QB play next year.

if we somehow manage to win this game and beat UK next week, will Worley be healthy by the bowl game?

Imagine that, coaches who see the players day in and day out, knowing more than fans who have never seen them practice...SHOCKING :p

You can't blame Dobbs, he's true Freshman. He's not the one calling 42 pass plays for a true freshman.

Worley is the best QB this year, but if the staff refuses to adapt to his skill-set (i,e, running the read option time after time after time after time) then he's not going to excel either.

This O no matter who was coaching would never remind anyone of the 97' team, but at the same time the play calling is not getting the most out of our talent. This is just...frustrating.

What makes me scratch my head is the fact that Dodds has ZERO touchdowns passes in 12 quarters of action. I can`t recall any quarterback going that long without a TD pass.

And what makes it even more strange to me is that Dobbs has athletic ability and is a smart kid. It doesn't makes sense.

Volnation posters - the best "hindsight" visibility of any other sports fans. Worley was always the best option because of his ability to manage the game with fewer mistakes. That may not be the case next year, as personally I think RF is the better QB, but time will tell.

Just because someone can read a book about being a car mechanic and then answer 50 questions about how to take apart and rebuild a 454 big block, doesn't mean that they are going to be better than the guy who has actually been doing it longer.

0 TDs and 5 INTs for Dobbs in 3 games. Even for a freshman, that's subpar. Two INTs in the 1st half against Vandy just underscores how poorly he's performing.

All three are bad right now. It's like choosing between 3 Division II QB's.

No, all 3 would probably be D2 all americans. Seriously. To compare them to a QB at that level is simply daft.

Not taking anything away from D2 players, either. 99% of posters on VN couldn't even play at that level.
