Worley just tweeted...

Regardless of what happens with Worley, we'll always think well of him. He's been a good leader and manager. He helped us break our ranked loss streak. He was the caretaker of the program, and all fans should be grateful for him no matter what happens.

Absolutely. It's sad how many fans ripped him this weekend. On one incomplete pass, his receiver tripped, on another, he was hit as he threw. The guy bounced back this season and led the Vols to their biggest win in 4-5 years and nearly another one. No quarterback they could have put out there was going to beat or even come close to beating Bama this past weekend.

You can say the Alabama D was playing "all out" but there's no way they weren't comfortable with the huge lead they had.

Dobbs may be the real deal, but it's a completely different situation to start a game than to come in after the game is decided; Dobbs had little to zero pressure on him.

Is that how you felt when you started the second half on the road against the number one ranked, best defensive team in the country? Thanks much for the insight!

Oh look, it's that guy.

You were probably one that was screaming for Peterman to start against Florida too.

You may be right, but I wonder how different the reaction would have been if Dobbs was in the starter slot. Would people have speculated that it was a smokescreen to bait Mizzou into thinking Worley was hurt?

Maybe so but what can Worley do that Dobbs can't? There would be much more preparation for Dobbs than Worley. Truthfully I don't see how the passing game could get any worse with Dobbs in there. He can just make the throws Worley cant and hasn't been able to after 8 games. If I'm Pinkel I am preparing for Dobbs, jmo

Saw Worley in Class today and his thumb is in a cast. He's not starting Saturday. Looks like it's Dobbs moving forward.

I saw pressure on Dobbs quite a few times. Either way no way Worley makes or completes that sideline pass to Johnson. Most likely it would have been intercepted or badly incomplete. Yes Dobbs will make mistakes, have penalties, turnovers and other FR mistakes. But he adds more dimension to the offense with his arm and feet.

That was an instinctive play that Worley probably doesn't make. No need to overblow it though. Worley has some strengths as do the other 3.

Pretending to know what was going through Dobbs' mind is ludicrous. That doesn't make me "that guy" it only makes your assertion ludicrous. Were you the guy that thought Simms was much more polished than Bray? It's clear Dobbs has much more upside. If Worley wasn't throwing picks, like he has most of his career, people would be less inclined to have Dobbs start. It's apparent Worley isn't tearing it up. Whether that is injury related or not...nobody really knows. Oh, mentioning Peterman only shows how some freshmen do on the road versus others.

Agreed, he is tough and maybe a good leader, but only his teammates would really know for sure. Its not his fault, he is just limited in what he can actually do.

Nick Stephens made it to the NFL and makes more than anyone in this thread fyi....lol

Nick Stephens is not on an NFL roster.

I'm not sure how you know his income status. I don't even know what he does for money, since he's not on an NFL roster(or practice squad, as far as I know).

Which is funny, since I didn't say one word about what was going on in his mind. I said he had little to zero pressure, which is true. No one in their right mind expected him to bring UT back and no one would have gotten down on him had he done poorly. That's the definition of "little pressure'. Surely you understand the difference between starting a game against Alabama than coming in when you're down 5 touchdowns.

If he throws two picks and fumbles one away that doesn't change where he stands with the coaches? Got it.

I don't understand how there's ppl who don't see that Worley is not the answer longterm and that it will be one of the young kids. Dobbs clearly is more talented. Let him grow up. There's nothing Worley does that dobbs cannot do. Hell Worley can't even grip a football right now. I like Worley but that's the bottom line.
