Worley played amazing under pressure. There were only few plays where he wasn't pressured or hit. Infact he took a lot of beating. He made some really good throws under pressure. Also those two interception:
first one is on Croom. You can't lose a 1-on-1 match up against a smaller corner on that ball. Pearson/North would have gotten it.
Second one wasn't too bad of a throw. It was on Bajakian who made Worley throw in 3 and 2 , after two good runs by Hurd and obvious 4 down territory.

Few of my Oklahoma fan friends said they really thought Worley was a trooper and they noticed too how every throw where he had few seconds to throw was a Dart.

He is a tough kid. We played a tough game and fought hard. Defense only allowed 27 points to #4 team on the road (7 were by offense). If we had a better O-Line (last year's) with this team, Oklahoma would have been in for a real treat.

Season Prediction still stands: 8-4

Couldnt have said it better myself! I've been on the Worley bandwagon for 2 years now. Kid has got what it takes.

I would have to say Worley played OK. Is he tough? Absolutely. But he telegraphed the pick 6 and several other passes late. Plus he passed on about 15 opportunities to keep on the zone read where nobody was within a 10 yard radius. He did stand tall in the face of pressure and make some tough throws, I'll give him that

I like Worley. He does seem to telegraph and not look off the D at times in each game. Any football knowledgeables have any thoughts on why this is so, or am I incorrect?

He was going through progressions in the first two games.

Can't go through progressions when you are going through a prostate exam all game.

IMO...Worley is "the best we've got" due to a LOT of effort & attention spent on Bray, which was never fruitful.

I don't remember seeing the # of reps in practice taken by Worley when Bray was #1 like I've seen our #2 - #4 take this last year.

Worley did play well. What a tough kid. I disagree about the Oline. I think you will be surprised about how well they will perform as the year goes on. They will not face a Dline like OU's again this year and we did run for over 100 yards. With 3 freshman playing on the right side, it was going to be a struggle. But as the game went on, they seemed to player better. Probably a little shocked at first against the size of OU.

When are people going to realize that Worley doesn't have the option of "keeping it" on a many of these plays that everyone thinks he should keep it on. Even though it looks the same as a zone read, it doesn't mean the option of the QB keeping it was given by the call. I would guarantee 97% of the 15 you speak of were called handoff all the way by OC.

had about 2 seconds to find a receiver and throw the ball to him all night. a lot of times he did not even have that much time...i hope he telegraphed every pass or he would throw an interception every time he slung the ball,

So seeing as how he kept it 0 times, I guess that means he had no options all night? We have the fewest qb keeps of any zone read offense in history

Worley was like Archie Manning back in his days with the Saints.

A gutsy effort with little or no blocking, getting crushed and jumping back up most of the game.

Worley will be just fine, if he stays healthy!! :hi:

What's up with all the Worley threads? Yeah, the kid is tough and he's a good kid. However, to coin phrases from Butch Jones, he does not appear to be the alpha male, he did not play winning football against Oklahoma, his accuracy was/is not up to par. His inaccuracy makes WR screens useless as they need to be right on the money so they can make plays. Please stop giving praise when it's not warranted.

Absolutely insane statement. If Worley is the man, shouldn't he be able to play pitch and catch for a few yards? He made the wrong read and threw a bad pass. I'm all behind the Vols, including Worley for the rest of the season, but he played bad against Oklahoma.

Not trolling at all. If I were to troll I would make an absolutely insane dumb statement such as this.

Justin Worley is the greatest QB to ever play the game. Every bad play that our offense makes has nothing to do with his play. It is the coaches, the offensive line, or the WR's fault.

Worley looked good as a passer minus 3 or 4 plays; my biggest grope is I wish he would run the ball a bit more. Overall he gets an A for his performance under these circumstances

I don't hate people but I officially hate dooley for burning his redshirt and not getting him any oline help

For me, if Worley can lead this team to a bowl game and win it, all his "sins" will be forgiven.
