Worst bowl season ever?

Games have been, by and large, awful. Or, is it just my hangover from a lousy season for my Vols?
I've tried to watch a few but they were so bad, I finished binge watching "Peaky Blinders".
ND in the playoffs, is, as most expected, a joke. Should have been UGA. This is the second time the CFP laid an egg with ND. Will they ever learn not to reward a team that does not dominate when they play a weak schedule?
This year was a better case for going back to the old BCS system rather than expanding the playoffs. Only 2 teams should be playing each other. The CBF playoff really marginalizes all the other bowl games and it's showing by the lack of interest--by the fans and seemingly by many of the players.

Agree with OP. I made same comment and pissed a lot of people off. I did enjoy the Alamo Bowl last night. Leach made history with first 11 win season for Wazzu. We about had him too.

Not really. 130 years of football has taught us that in the end, you come down to about 1, 2, or 3 good undefeated teams. You really are trying to let those 2 or 3 teams figure out who's the champ. 4 teams is plenty and it's working. The good teams win.

You could go back to a single game, and honestly, that would also be good enough, but there's no huge reason to go backward.

Exactly. 4 is perfect. You avoid something like 2004 but don’t get 2-loss teams with a shot to win it every year. It was never meant to include all of the Power 5 conferences.

It has been terrible. I know the Alamo Bowl between Iowa State and Washington State was pretty good but I didn't see it. Every game I have watched has either been poorly played and boring or has been a massacre. Still a lot of games left to play including the National Championship Game but not very many promising match ups. I expect Georgia to blow out Texas and Alabama to blow out Clemson... ditto for LSU over Central Florida and Ohio State over Washington.

Actually, I think Bammer should just play themselves. Make it a Crimson and White spring game played in the winter.

Bowl attendance has been awful for most of the bowls for a long time.

I was actually looking forward to the Boise State game, and it gets cancelled outright due to bad weather of all things.

I'm probably going to see how Kentucky does in the Citrus Bowl, but other then that every team I follow either already played. Vandy lost, Appalachian State won, UT didn't make a bowl, and I don't give a **** about Clemson and Bama. Oh yeah, and I worked the night of the UAB bowl game, so they won, but I didn't have a chance to watch it.

I wouldn't say this is the worst bowl season, but it's definitely not a top 10 hit either.
