Easy one for me. I was 16 years old and my parents friends bought me a James Bond camera that shot suction tip darts.
Did they think I was seven years old?😄

I still laugh about it because they seemed so proud of their gift. I was very gracious and, after they left, I gave it to one of the little kids in the neighborhood.

It wasn't my grandmothers fault. She sent me a V neck sweater with wide Green and Cream V strips on it.

I was in the USAF in Europe at the time and about 3 weeks after Xmas I got called to Squadron HQ and they escorted me to a secure bunker under the base movie theater (never had any idea it was there). Then they started "interviewing" me and wanted to know all about one of my roommates. Turned out he'd been with a prostitute in Amsterdam that was murdered about the time he was with her. Then they showed me a sketch and asked me if I'd ever seen a V neck sweater with V strips on it like the one in the sketch and I said I had one. Well now they were very interested in where I'd been, etc.

Let's just it was a very long scary few hours.

They got the guy, it was some Army guy.

Well I don’t know if that story will be topped. 😂

Wanted Lazer Tag... got Photon. All the other kids in the neighborhood got Lazer Tag and mine was incompatible.

A year later I wanted a Nintendo and was convinced I would end up with a Sega. Mom redeemed herself with the Nintendo and all was forgiven for the Photon.

Off topic but germane to your post, my now deceased father in law was the second to last person to look at a house in Ft. Myers where the real estate agent showing the open house was murdered. Of course, the last person to visit was the murderer and he did not sign in so it took some time to figure out that he existed and who he was. It was a stressful time.

Hard to say. Wife got me a $5,000 dollar suit one year. Coincidentally just donated it this morning to Goodwill. Merry Christmas!A775BEE1-9A42-47B9-B133-96B0ACCED84F.gif
