UT played a gauntlet of a schedule before going to GA! In the last month it’s been at LSU, home for Bama, a KY team that didn’t turn out to be great but still takes a lot of energy and preparation, and then to GA! No one in the country had a four week span like that and I’m not surprised that at the end of it we looked tired-hell I’m tired! Just sayin..

I think if u flip flop the GA and LSU games were still 8-1 but beat LSU by much less and have a chance to beat GA! Yesterday was the last game of what i considered top 3 toughest schedules in the country…

Gotta say, nahhhh - we were pretty healthy for this game. We just got spooked. Young kids realizing all of a sudden THEY are the #1 team in the country and not feeling like it is true.
Some of the staff and most of the players were not yet ready for the big stage. This comes with experience. We got some experience and we will be better for the next big game.
We also need an infusion of talent. Georgia was stacked!
I was disappointed, but not disheartened.

No excuses. We aren’t Bama fans.

They looked tired because they'd been beat up pretty good. Like a UFC fighter at the end of 5 rounds where he's been beaten handily.

UT plays in Neyland. Its literally THE big stage. This team was as ready as ever. They just got beat. It happens. They will approach this as a learning experience and hopefully build off it. The key now is to get the Jimmies and Joes in to beef up the team. That will make these games more evenly matched on the line of scrimmage in particular.

I was at the UK game last week. The Volunteers were not tired or sore or any of that. It is what it is. Keep playing and let the chips fall where they may. Hopefully UT backs into the playoffs.

Georgia acted like they had been there because they have, we looked uneasy the entire game. Time and experience Wins most times.

When we get Georgia again in December we will have a month to rest and prepare.
Depending on what happens the rest of the way. I think we actually end up playing the winner of Ohio St & Michigan while UGA would get who ever makes it out of TCU/Oregon/USC. Hopefully we meet them in January 😃

We really have to hope that starting 8-0 and getting ranked # 1 and all the great press we got will seriously help us get some of the top guys we're recruiting.

If we can fill most of our biggest position needs with 4* and 5* guys then we'll be ready to rock the world with our current coaching staff.

I really want to see our entire coaching staff get substantial pay raises so we can hold on to them no matter who comes after them!!!

Our great AD needs to hear that from everyone!!!

Last week Heupel said we were as healthy as we’ve been all year. We got our ass kicked. It happens. We’ll learn from it and may even get an opportunity to avenge that loss. We just have to finish strong .
