Ticket prices are horrible. It’s $270 get in price for those games.Regions for the Sweet 16/Elite 8 are handled separately from Round of 64 and Round of 32 draws, and the latter has no bearing on the former. It seems almost locked that Tennessee will be playing in Charlotte the first weekend and, if they receive a one seed, land in the West (Los Angeles) by virtue of geography due to the one seeds higher on the S-Curve (UConn/Purdue/Houston in some order) getting to play closer to home.
Ticket prices in Charlotte don't seem terrible right not. Charlotte is Thursday/Saturday and there are three sessions of two games a piece; Tennessee will play in one session alongside the teams they can meet in the Round of 32, while the other session will feature four teams that Tennessee cannot and will not play in Charlotte. The only pricing concern in my mind is for Session 3 on Saturday, as UNC is likely to get the opposite session of Tennessee on Thursday and their proximity/fanbase/cachet would make Session 3 pretty expensive since there's no way to buy tickets just for Tennessee on Saturday.
I'd take that bracket. The path to the F4 would be (barring upsets, which of course are frequent in the NCAAT):It looks like that they would here:
How hard will tickets be to get for these first weekend games in Charlotte?
Men's Bracketology: Kelvin Sampson has Houston pointing toward another deep run
Is Houston underrated coming off back-to-back No. 1 seeds and four straight second-weekend appearances in the NCAA tournament?www.espn.com
I am more incline to believe ESPN's bracket which has 1W playing in SLC
Since i live in Charlotte, I went ahead and bought over the weekend. For Thursday, it was $70 per session and Saturday was $170 for first 10 rows of upper deck.I only looked at Saturday. I’d like to go to both if possible. I live an hour away from CLT
Gotcha. May see you there. I live in spartanburg so I’ll hold out until we get placed. Don’t think I’d made the drive if UT isn’t in it. If Greenville hosts games I usually go to those, but won’t travel unless it’s TennesseeSince i live in Charlotte, I went ahead and bought over the weekend. Ticketmaster seemed the cheapest of Seatgeek, StubHub, Vivid, etc. And it was cheaper to buy each session individually instead of buying a full book.
I believe they came out and said it would be based on miles from campus irregardless of state boundaries.anybody see Tennessee ended up in Memphis, instead? (doesn't the school decide their top choices early on?)
Obviously Memphis is easier on ticket prices and Western/Middle TN fans. There's also the recruiting aspect.
I would be surprised to see us draw Memphis, but not totally shocked.
Word around town is that Tennessee has been expecting Charlotte. That’s the most likely destination. I’m not as knowledgeable on this but I think some of it has to do UNC and Duke on the seed lines with them both being projected as top 4 seeds. But the way it is playing out looks like Charlotte for Tennessee.anybody see Tennessee ended up in Memphis, instead? (doesn't the school decide their top choices early on?)

Texas might be a tough matchup…they have a couple of losses to unranked teams (similar to our losses to TAMU and MSU) but most of their losses are to ranked team…I'd take that bracket. The path to the F4 would be (barring upsets, which of course are frequent in the NCAAT):
Norfolk St or Steton
Boise State or Texas
BYU or SD State
Iowa St. or Arizona
I like that setup.
Iowa State and BYU are tough, I have watched a decent amount of Iowa State and they like to get up and down the court. BYU plays a lot like South Carolina, toughness and get up in your kitchen. Either way, March Madness is going to be an awesome time this year!Texas might be a tough matchup…they have a couple of losses to unranked teams (similar to our losses to TAMU and MSU) but most of their losses are to ranked team…
Only the overall #1 seed gets to select their first weekend location. Everyone else falls in line based on the closest available location to their campus.anybody see Tennessee ended up in Memphis, instead? (doesn't the school decide their top choices early on?)
