Now that Tennessee has lost only LSU and USC remain above Alabama at the five and six spot. Both of these teams will probably lose. Putting Bama at five. Then TCU will either lose or Michigan/Ohio State possibly letting Alabama get in to the fourth spot smh. Could this be a reality ?
Losing late in the season sucks. If we would have lost early to South Carolina and early to Georgia then finished with wins against LSU and Alabama I still think we would be ranked in the top 7. Losing late in the season against an inferior team gives us harsh judgment that we are either regressing or have peaked. They dropped us to 11 in coaches poll.

I can see Bama winning it all despite their issues.
Wouldn't bother me at all.
It would show us what could have been.

TN loss has thrown the playoffs a curve ball and next weeks games will definitely turn it over again. The committee loves AL. I am sure if they could figure out a legit way to get them in they would. I hope not.

Bama needs a ton of help. UGA is in no matter what. Winner of OSU/UM is in. That leaves 2 spots and here’s the teams the could be ahead of Bama to make it, in my opinion:
-TCU if they win out (maybe even with 1 loss if they lose to Iowa St and then win the Big 12)
-Loser of OSU/UM
-USC if they win out
-Clemson if they win out

So Bama would need pretty major chaos as I believe 2 of those things or more will happen. Clemson won’t lose again and I think they’d jump 2-loss Bama. TCU just seems destined to win out. I really thought they’d lose yesterday before that game started and it looked good until Aranda lost his…, uh, guts. Obviously the loser of OSU/UM won’t lose again. That conference is pretty pitiful though so Bama should be ahead of that team in my opinion. With that said, if TCU loses and USC loses it could get very interesting.

A lot has to happen for Bama to get in.

You need Georgia to win out.
You need Ohio St to win by a large margin. Like 4 TD type win over Michigan.
You probably need the following 3 to lose another game: TCU, USC, and Clemson.

I think they're out. Even with that, I think a one loss Michigan and TCU could get in over a 2 loss Bama team.

Bama not getting in. Clemson will get in befor Bama as the committee would select a one loss conference champion over a two loss mom champion.

Plus, their loss to TN doesn’t look as good on paper since TN got blown out by an unranked USCjr team.

TCU and USC are in if they run the table. If one stumbles then maybe Clemson. UNC lost to GA Tech so they may hurt Clemson.

LSU is the only two loss team that would get in IF they run the table, along with a TCU or USC loss.
