With all the Schaeffer talk it got me thinking.

Say Schaeffer had stayed and we went 9-2 or maybe better. Would this had been better than what has transpired so far this year? Record wise yes, but as far as the long term future of the program, no.

All Schaeffer would have done was hide the ineptness of our offensive staff. He would have made a poorly coached O-line and WRs look great with his athletic ability. He would have helped bail out Sanders all year long and we would have had this same offensive coaching staff for the next however many years.

I'm glad Schaeffer is gone. IMO he was a cnacer waiting to happen.

I'm also glad a season like this came along b/c it was long overdue and hopefully now the necessary changes will be made.

Okay, where does it say in the other thread that Schaeffer would have just prolonged the tenure of this offensive coaching staff?

We could welcome him back with one exception...He couldn't date a girl who owned a cell phone.

Why didnt you ask in the existing shaeffer thread rather than creating another that is currently being posted and responded on the smae subject. Im sure some of us do not like going through mutliple posts on the same topic. cant tell you how many ainge/clausen and fire RS posters we have had and it is the same topic over and over.
