Would we keep it classy?

If we beat Vandy in the Final Four to play for the championship there would be mayhem on campus and on the Strip. Book it!

Burning couches is one thing, flipping cars is another.

I see people getting wild and having a great time, but why destruct other UT fans property by flipping cars. If you want to burn down your own couch ok, but the flipping cars in celebration I don't get.

I remember after we beat Florida in 2001 a couch (among other things) was burned outside of my house. Fire Dept. came and put it out, no big deal. Sounds like things got a little out of hand in Lexington.

I don't remember anything like this happening after we won the National Championship in 1998.

I too remember the mayhem in 2001 when we beat Florida. There was an impromptu riot at the stadium (it was an away game), some burnings in presidential court, random shenanigans. Don't recall anything serious though.

If Tennessee ever makes the National Championship game in men's basketball in my lifetime, I will burn a mattress!

Heck, at the rate our football program in going, I may burn a mattress if they make it to the title game again.

BTW, I'm over 50 and not really worried about having to burn a mattress. But I'll be big orange to my grave anyway!

I disagree. Way too many redneck idiots and alpha-male lummoxes. Way. Too. Many.

We might have some isolated incidents, but nothing to the extent of what happened in Lexington. If for no other reason, half of our "fanbase" probably wouldn't even know we won. If the 98 National Championship in football didn't incite car-flipping, street riots, and an arsonist free-for-all, do you really think a basketball win in the semifinals would? Heck, it wasn't even the championship game.

Honestly, I think attitudes are different now. I mean, who knows what would happen, idk.

We have our fair share of idiots in our fan base, I could see the same thing going on here.

We have thousands of fans who do the wave while Tennessee is on offense, so yes we have some mental giants who would act a fool.

Since we are not in that position I will say no we would not. Mainly because I just want to look down upon the UK fan base more.
