I mean think about it you are pro never going to get the opportunity to get a big time coaching job again. Why not take it? I would and i would bet that if you were in front of 5 million bucks you would to you can say you wouldn't take it all you want but until you are in that situation you never know. Thats like saying lets go break into this bank and not take any of the money. A contract is a legal document. UT has no choice but to pay him. It's not like you can get a refund on what you paid for game tickets if we lose.

Yes especially considering he could have stayed at Tech and continued getting paid for who knows how long. The job he did here may be a career killer for him. One thing is for sure there will be no more big payday's for Dooley in football for a long long time. I honestly doubt he gets another head coaching job.
