Would you take an Auburn loss for a guaranteed Georgia win??

Well, I would love to beat UGA at home.......................but Im going to Auburn so I want them to win!!!! I can only make one game a year so I want a victory!!!!!!!! :p

No way. From what I've seen, we've got enough to beat both of them. After what we went through with Florida in the mid 90s and years ago with Alabama, I think we set ourselves up for failure when we put a team on a pedestal and place so much emphasis on one game.

I don't care that we've lost 4 in a row to Georgia, we have to look at them as just another victim. :machinegun:

What she said- exactly.... plus the fact that I'm getting taken to the game by my Dad and Infamous Stepmother.

You really don't want to be trapped 400 miles from home in the same city with them after a loss- much less in the seat next to them during one.



If all things were equal, however, and I was forced to choose, then from a bloodless, got-no-heart standpoint you'd have to say yes because 1. UGA is another East team; 2. If we win the East, we're likely to get a chance to whup Auburn in the SECCG; and, 3. Auburn is carrying such a high ranking compared to us going into the game, a loss to them would hurt us less than a loss to UGA in the rankings.


Now excuse me while I go iron my fingers.

I think you guys are missing Freak's point.

IF Tennessee were to get a guaranteed win at Georgia, UT is a lock to go to the SEC Championship game.

Answer to your question Freak, yes.

I hope you're right, but even with a win against UGA, I don't see how you can call us a lock for anything. I really like the way this team has played so far, but with a suspect defense and freshmen QBs, it's hard to believe that we won't lay an egg somewhere; especially when we go on the road.

I don't know if I would call it a lock, but we would definitely be in the driver's seat.

Of course Auburn fans want to see UT beat Georgia, because it will pretty much mean that the SEC championship will be a rematch of UT and AU, which they won the first time around. I would like that, too, I think that the Vols will look different after a full season of play.

ok fair enough I FLAT HATE UGA especially after the 02 loss.no doubt UT will look much better,i jus t hate em ,but to beat UT in the SECCG would be great revenge!!!
but it really doesnt matter to me even the arkys kinda scare me " nutts record against tubby"so i n a way i doesnt matter to me.well wait and see how AU fairs against UGA this time around!! :naughty:
