I know this sounds bad because all of the bagage, but think about it. Who do we have at QB? Vince Young? You never know which Vince will show up game to game. Ben has won to super bowls, heck, i don't think Vince has won a playoff game. Don't get me wrong, im a huge Vince fan, but Id say take big ben. Trade your first round and one of your 15 running backs u've drafted in the past 5 drafts.

If the Titans were to trade a first rounder and maybe a second rounder to get Ben, I would say they would have greatly increased their chance to go to the Super Bowl

My wagon is hitched to VY. If you get Ben, you have to start him. If you are starting him, you shouldn't be paying for VY. Who would take VY off our hands right now?

And thus, save the cap room and stick with VY.

Besides, we need to fix the D. Solid D and solid running game is how the Titans win.

Big Ben is a scumbag. Nothing more. Why would you want him to lead your franchise? 1 problem I can see but 2 is a trend. He's only sorry he got caught and the chick talked.

If you're a 28 year old 2 time winning QB and need to resort to hanging out in college bars getting underage chicks drunk to get pussy you're a scumbag. In case anyone was wondering.

The dynamic this team has right now would be completely changed. It would take a year or two for him to gel with his teammates. They would not contend for a superbowl with or without Ben, better to focus on the defense.

I don't think anyone is going to argue with that.

I wouldn't want Ben on my roster at this point in time sorry, and the way the Steelers are shopping him they have their doubts as well. All I have to say is that Vince went 8-2 when he took over for Collins last year.

I really think Vince has turned a corner...Mike Keith gave an interview the other day on NFL Network where he said VY has attending all off-season workouts and has been very active in preparation for this coming season...So I think Vince's momentum will roll on coming off last year.

I'm excited about the running game that has developed behind him, too.

They don't have a second rounder to give

And it doesn't matter who's at qb; if you follow this team at all you'd know the biggest issue last season was the couldn't stop the pass even if they were allowed to use shotguns

Having a qb who can run when needed and an all star rb in the backfield just makes it easier for both parties back there

Didnt know Titans were without a second round pick. Dont really follow the Titans at all, but I dont see how they wouldnt benefit from getting ben. I would say that if the Eagles had a chance at him, I would be happy that they took it, even if that meant giving up a first rounder.

I can't stand VY. The only reason he is a Titan is because of Adams. Fisher nor Chow wanted him. (hmm...wonder which one that wanted?) He ran off after the game and the cops had to be called because his mom got scared. That being said I like Big Ben but Titans already had enough trouble from Pacman. Don't think they need another one.

The Titans being out of the 2nd Round this year is discouraging with the depth of talent, but having two 3's does ease the pain a little. However, regardless of their draft stock, there's just no way this management unit is going to push for someone who is:

a.) a QB
b.) radioactive to possible owners/fanbases by being one misstep away from yearly suspension

Let's just let the Al Davis-type GMs of the world make those leaps.

I wouldn't want Big Ben, but Collins went 10-0 the year before coming in for Young, so I say so what that Young went 8-2; not to mention the obvious dip in competition they faced in those 10 games.

Plus let's not act like Young is THE reason they won those games....THE reason is Chris Johnson. If the team had to rely solely on Young to win, I'd be worried.

well he did go 8-2 with a team that was 0-6, had the worst defense in the league (giving up 300-400 yards per game passing alone per game), and was on route to be the first pick overall and a new coach

Collins 10-0 came from a team with a defense where that was so good that the team could only score twice on offense all game and win....plus the competition wasn't great either then

Johnson was obviously THE main reason, but with Johnson putting up what he did, the team's success with Vince was much better than with collins

Big Ben is a scumbag. Nothing more.

But nobody in Nashville had much issue with PacMan even though he already had accusations, arrests and convictions coming out of college. Let's take a stroll down memory lane:

A sentence of one year in prison for a bar fight in Morgantown, West Virginia while in college. The sentence was later suspended in exchange for two years of probation

April 23, 2005-Drafted by Titans

July 13, 2005- Arrested and charged with assault and felony vandalism after a nightclub altercation.

September 5, 2005- Adam was invited to attend the Nashville Sports Council Kickoff Luncheon. Jones went off on a verbal tirade while being told to wait for his car after the event. He then refused to tip the valet service.

October 2005- State of West Virginia filed a petition stating that Jones had not been contacting his probation officer and that he had not reported his July 2005 arrest. The judge extended the probation for just 90 days.

March 23, 2006- Charged with marijuana possession in Fayetteville, Georgia. He went on to claim that he knew how to beat the NFL’s drug test.

August 25, 2006- Arrested for disorderly conduct and public intoxication after being ordered by the cops to leave a Murfreesboro night club several times. Jones claimed a woman stole his wallet. The woman claimed that Jones spat on her. The judge in the case gave Pacman six months probation and told him to stay away from the club.

October 26, 2006- Jones was issued a citation for misdemeanor assault after a female student from Tennessee State University claimed that Jones spit in her face at a Nashville night club.

November 5, 2007- It was reported that Jones would not be allowed to be reinstated during the 2007 season after meeting with Goodell. Tennessee running back LenDale White told The Tennessean that he thinks that "53 of 53" Titans' players would want Jones to return to the team.

April 23, 2008- Traded by the Tennessee Titans

I had an issue with it so I guess that statement is false and I know plenty of other Titan fans that had an issue with drafting him.

Edit: To be honest, I wanted Mike Williams, WR USC that year so I guess it would have been a wasted pick either way.

I haven't seen them take anyone with any sign at all of character issues since they booted him...actually since the suspension; i think that effects your points a bit since most of nashville were not pacman fans by the time the problems were running up

I'm curious also, don't take this the wrong way, but sometimes you seem to appear like you feel it's up to you to defend or save the name of Steelers team/players if anyone on this board says something bad about them...

if ben were a titan i would have to seriously reconsider being a titans fan until he was no longer in the uniform. i never liked him before he got into trouble and i have even more of a dislike in him with what he has done the last several years. i really feeling like puking even at the thought of having to watch that guy every sunday.
