Damn left-coasters just don't understand the joy of Wal-Mart shopping!

I could talk about my extreme distaste for Wal-Mart (and I have shopped at them quite a few times in many places around the country) but I'd rather not be flamed off the board.

I know alot of people dont shop there but I really dont see how!!! Everyone around here does, of coarse, but my cousin in Dallas dosent. I cant afford to shop at the other groceries around here. They are too outrageous!!!!

I love Wal-Mart! Sure, it isn't the most sophisticated shopping, but I just can't resist it.

The only bad thing...You go in there for three items, you leave with $150 worth of stuff. Wal-Mart is addicting like that.

I'll go into a run down 24-7 K-mart first.

"It's the council's meeting. They can decide what they want to hear and what they're tired of hearing," Dille said. "You can understand if you're barraged for two months at meetings — the same people saying the same thing."

And if the Gallatin city council ever came out with some crap like this, I can guarantee that we'd have a new city council shortly :bash:

I guess you could say that we live in Wal-Mart. It is right on the way to our domicile and we are probably in there 4-5 times a week, sometimes more than once a day.

I hate to go in there because it brings out the absolute worst in most shoppers, but the prices and variety of merchandise make it a necessity.

We spend so much time in there they are probably going to ask us if we would like to rent a room in the back of the store to live. :(

I work at a wal mart distribution center ( groceries ) , we dont even get the 10% discount on groceries so wal mart can under cut the competition. Im not a manager, supervisor, vice president or grand pubah....but I can tell you from the inside lookin out wal mart is every bit the cult 60 minutes says it is.

yes milo if you wanna be a detail cop I may be inaccurate about 60 minutes being the entity bringing a storeyline on wal mart being a cult. If you know more accurately the facts of what entity brought the story by all means correct me. :shakehead:

I hate how the stupid store is there to kill the little guy. Would you rather support the men and women in your hometown trying to make a living while not having to work for someone else, or send that money to Bentonville, Ark. to make them filthy rich. When they were a dept. store everything seemed to be on the up-and-up. Then they took your local grocers business. Next came the hardware stores, gas stations, etc. They are now eyeing the banking industry. All this while keeping wages low, withholding benefits and screwing their vendors.

Sorry, I am as anti-sprawl-mart as they come :yuck:
