If Bama is a 4 win team, then maybe it will happen....Bama was 4-9 in 2003.

I'd rather do this to them when they finish 12-1....like Auburn got to rub their noses in it last season.

Tennessee also beat Miami on the road in '03 who finished 11-2. I know Tennessee showed up flat for the Chik-Fil-A Bowl vs Clemson but that doesn't change the fact they deserved a better bowl and got hosed big time. The Outback Bowl picked Florida even though Tenn finished with a better record and had beaten them on the road.

Maybe the destination seemed like a let down as UT played there the prior year against Maryland but the match-up was very good. Clemson vs. UT. I was stoked about that game....I was living in Charleston at the time, but it was still a great match-up.

I was at that FLA game. It was very nice to go to Gainesville and have them NOT run their mouths...
