I know, I know, hindsight... but I thought these teams matched up better:
Ohio St vs Stanford in Rose - Its easy to throw together 2 dominating teams, but isn't this what the country wanted to see? Great offenses with some big names.
Iowa vs Notre Dame in Fiesta - Everyone was still a little skeptical of Iowa and Notre Dame is tough but not a dominate offense. Good balanced game, no?
Ole Miss vs Houston in Sugar - After the Memphis game I would have loved to see what the Rebels would do against another non power 5 power. I didn't expect Houston to beat FSU (nor would have picked them to hang with OM) but I thought the matchup story would be cool.
Florida St vs Oklahoma St in Peach - I think OSU being in a Big 6 game is a joke, but next up would be TCU and, well, OSU stomped them so you woukd have to put them in. Probably would turn into a decent game.
And I know these 2 aren't picked by committee but they are part of the 8 big bowls on new years eve/new years.
UT vs Michigan in Citrus - Homer? Maybe, but everyine expected UT and Michigan to roll. Michigan by a FG.
Florida vs NW in Outback - 2 defensive minded teams. Not an exciting game but a great matchup for old schoolers. Florida 16-9.

Again, hindsight, but did.anyone think much differently before it all started?

Lost me at Michigan by a field goal.

Stanford-Ohio State in the Rose Bowl would have been a hell of a game. I think Houston would have beaten Ole Miss also.

Florida vs Northwestern makes sense ( call it the Vastly Overrated/Offensively Challenged Bowl).
So does Tennessee vs Michigan (the Going Places Bowl).

I'm a football junkie but besides the Tennessee route I lost interest in all the games by halftime and ended up watching more of the mythbusters marathon than bowl games

I'm still relatively young, but I can't recall a slate of bowl games so lopsided. Looks like UGA may trounce Penn State as well, especially with Hackenburg out. Almost none of the relevant/semi-relevant bowls have been competitive this season.

Play like we did...Mich would have been beat bad too. That is the best we have played in a while.

just to remind everyone....

for the 11th year in a row.

I'm not sure that made sense to anyone, but it's been 11 years since Tennessee has beaten Florida.

That means it hasn't happened since 2004.

If Baby Briles had stuck to the Wild Bear in the 2nd qtr vs Texas we would have played Ole Miss in the Sugar Bowl. Daddy took the keys away at the half but it was too late. Even without a QB, I think we would have matched up better with Ole Miss than Okie Lite did.

Okie Lite would have been bumped to the Russell Athletic Bowl where they matched up better with UNC did with Ole Miss.

What if...

That in no way changes losing to a little 10 team by 34. There are probably about 20 football teams in your own state that would be favored against you right now.

P.S. That TCU QB deserves his own beer commercial or something.

Yes, TCU QBs and beer. He should be serving Casey Pachall, Trevone Boykin and Kenny Trill™ Hill Keystone Light in this commercial.

According to a Fort Worth police report, Tuaua and Petties-Wilson were arrested Monday for an incident Sept. 4, when another TCU student told investigators that the two players — wearing TCU apparel — stole a 30-pack of Keystone Light after attacking him and his friends.

What makes me laugh is the whole, we would have won, theory. Maybe so.

Again, as I always ask, why are these clowns so well received here?

LG got butthurt because (God forbid) a Tennessee fan thinks his team could have won a game. As always, when the UT poster argued back, another gator troll chimed in with "11 in a row" talk.

And as always, their fan club on this board, that exists for some reason unbeknownst to me, will come to their aid soon about how they are "good posters." To their fan club members, I want you all to know, these guys have zero respect for any of you as UT fans.

Just as a heads up right now to both of you, LG and 99. If Freak ever offers to make me a moderator I will gladly accept, and you will both be banned immediately. That's not a threat, I'm just informing you ahead of time so you aren't caught by surprise.

.

Thanks for your great mathematical insight there bud. We never would've know that 11 years it was 2004. Do they teach you guys that in your high school math class, or do you have to wait till you get to college for that higher level education? I'm guessing it's the latter in which case you can go flaunt your high level of learning on some gator boards, I'm sure they'd be much more impressed and appreciative.

Whatever....even youd have to admit Florida isn't close to the team we lost to without hulk Hogan at QB, y'all we're lucky to "escape" with a victory and I think the body of work the rest of your season proves the impact a one player can have on a team. Getting trouced by a decent Michigan team is embarrassing to the entire conference.

Not going to lie I did as well and started watching the ufc prelims. Thankfully a friend sent a text saying that they were coming back and I got to see the end of it also watched most of the WV game on my phone and it was a really good game as well
