Yeah, it was pretty nice.

Hate to say it, but one of the LSU DBs had a pretty outstanding form tackle on Riggs too...

Did everybody see the hit that the Clemson player put on the BC QB?

See other thread that has the link...

Simon also punched the ball out when Russell had run for a first down on 3rd and short, causing the ball to go out of bounds behind the sticks... great play.

I thought the personal foul call on him was abit weak, But the 2nd man always gets the flag. :realmad: Anyone else notice all of the dead-ball (movement) penalties UAB, UF, LSU so far has made when playing us. :biggrin2:

Thats because there are scared to death of our D-Line! How would you like to be a guard and have to look at Jesse Mahalona all game, sitting there thinking "Dang this guy is BIG...and he is about to steamroll me!"

Did anybody notice on that Flea Flicker that LSU ran that the fullback was CLEARLY moving toward the line when the ball was snapped? It was about a 50 yard gain that should have been whistled dead immediately.

I saw that forward motion and thought the same exact thing. But on the flip side of that you can't get all the calls. Riggs did have a nice run in OT...thanks to a blatant hold that wasn't called. So I guess ya win some and ya lose some.

I agree, the calls always even out . . . but that one was REALLY obvious. I could tell the instant the ball was snapped that the fullback was moving. He didn't just flinch, he was in motion sideways and changed directions to attack the line of scrimmage. It is unbelievable that a Referee, a Head Linesman and a Side Judge all staring at the play could have missed one that obvious.

I'll agree on that one though, its one thing to miss a hold when you got 22 players going in all directions during a play, but when only one guy ob the field is moving its hard not to notice.

We also got a freebie when the LSU DE ran way into our backfield and didn't get back. Our guy definitely moved but the refs didn't see it. The same LSU guy went off-sides (for real) the next play and got yanked for a play or two.

When LSU had the ball in OT, Mahelona was held big time trying to sack Russell. That one was really obvious too. It could have been 3rd and 19.

I couldn't figure out if the refs were just letting them play in OT or just missing calls.

Am I the only one who thinks LSU gained about 5 yards on the spot of the flea flicker? I would've bet the house their guy stepped out around the 7 or 8, but they marked it on the 2. Since I heard no complaints (except the ones coming out of my own mouth), I guess it's a good thing no one took me up on my house offer!

Was I the only one that thought LSU was offsides half the night on Defense, but got away with it until the 4th quarter? Nothing changes, and it certainly didn't change the outcome to the worse for us... but point being, those officials were HORRIBLE.

I agree, he was out around the 7 or 8 like you said. I watched the game again on ESPN2 the same night and noticed that.
