We played about as well as we have all year. I hope we can keep it up for 60 min. If so, then we just might finally get that big upset we've been looking for for so long.

The OL need to keep mashing them the way we have been and they'll wilt in the 4th qtr.

Defense? Yes.

Offense? No. A couple of bad passes, two drops, and a misplay/miscall. Several blown assignments on the OL allowing DL's to come free on run plays.

The thing you want to see in a coach's first year is improvement. We are getting that. Getting to six wins is still going to be a challenge, but I like our future. This program should be rolling again by 2015.

what was the stat..11 plays in the opponents end with 3 points at a certain point in the game? Maybe the offense is coming on now but they squandered an average starting position of their own 46 yards for most of the first half.

The offense has not been perfect, but they did score 17 points in the half and it is an SEC game.

Agree completely. But they did flat out run over USCe's D on that last TD drive. That was very, very nice.

I said before the game that UT needed to get into USCe's two deep. They aren't deep and have some holes on D. That last drive showed some fatigue on USCe's part.

In lieu of perfection we've done well.

Palardy's rise can't be understated.

Worley seems to be a chronic slow start but the trend seems to be that he plays better as the game progresses.

That's what a seasoned senior line should play like ....really need this win.

I don't envy coach Jones, what a crazy schedule for a first year coach. That being said after watching last weeks game, they are really starting to turn the corner. I see big things in the near future for the Vols.

We won the first half against the #11 team in the country. I can live with that. Now to win the second half. This team is growing up before our eyes. I am loving the effort.

defence is trying to keep us in this game our offence can't help themselves if they tried...look at all the great field postion-turnovers...nothing to show for it

We gotta find a way to win. So far in the 2nd half, the effort is there, but we are still giving up the big third-and-longs and letting a running QB burn us. Offense still doesn't look very good. There are flashes now and then, but still a lot of frustration. I hope that our Vols keep playing this hard and find a way to actually win this one today!!!!!

This your first time watching the vols? This is just the same ole same ole. Lose In a heart breaker.
Another moral victory for the vols.

I don't think the players go for moral victories. THe team is playing better, more discipline, better blocking. I think your coach is pounding the players with fundamentals and that is a big key. We clobbered you all but I could see some great potential and it was enough that I wanted to sign on the forum. You can bet that your opponent today is crapping their pants. Vols!

Spurrier may have out coached himself burning those 2 TOs on a 4 n 2.
