'25 WR Zachariah Branch (Georgia commit🤮)

People are already putting Arch on pedestal because he lit up a G5 team and the worst team in the SEC. If his last name wasn’t Manning I’m guessing he wouldn’t be getting the pub he has gotten this season. Greg McElroy said he best. Everybody all season has made Arch into something he isn’t. He is very talented, let’s see him do it first.
I think he’s the early Heisman favorite 🤡

I remember watching him in the Polynesian Bowl, last year, this year against LSU and I've wanted him since.

I'm shocked he hasn't produced more, but literally any game I've watched that he's played in he's flashed big time. Home run in this offense.

Ha! I jumped on here after Branch’s first ever game in 2023 and proclaimed him to be the most explosive player in CFB (maybe an overreach 🤷🏻). Since then I’ve no idea why USC didn’t get more production out of him. I sure as hell hope we land both ZBs.

Don’t have the pedigree. We are a good brand that recently sucked and just came back to life. Now we are stuck in the chicken (championship) and egg (top recruiting class) conundrum. Which do we get first?

The top brands in the sport are entrenched as a result. There is no fair distribution of talent. The teams that get the rings keep getting rewarded with the best players.

It’s weird that every program has gone through cycles of success and failure, given these factors. How did Georgia and Alabama ever pass Tennessee, for instance?

It doesn’t happen overnight. But it can and will happen.

Alabama has always been there with UT. UGA has been really close but Kirby took them to a new level. It’s odd to see how many teams we have an overall losing record due to the 3 coaches before CJH. We need to let this man do his job if we ever want to make up ground.

I'd honestly sit out this bidding war and instead loading up on trying to land a top 5 class in 2026. I don't think one player is gonna make or break our chances to win a national title. But a top 5 class in 2026 definitely would.

I do think loading up and having another good consistent year would help with maintaining recruiting classes. Though I think you're right in questioning how far do we push that line right now.

I think recruiting is just about money now. Winning helps but if you cut the biggest check that's what will win the day. To me the transfer portal is like NFL Free Agency while recruiting is like the Draft. I'd rather build my team thru the Draft than Free Agency. We should use most of our funds on elite high school recruits while using the portal to supplement rather than it be the main diet. Let's use the portal to get underrated guys but use our big bucks on landing a top 5 high school recruiting class.

What gets concerning for me is players out the draft still can hop in that free agency. So I question how we tie in commitment from those draft picks.

Dude we aren’t landing a top 5 class. Just stop it. Our WR room is completely decimated and we are losing Matthews.

We arent going to sign a top 5 class regardless lol. We need to sign a few more WR’s this class because as it stands rn, we are 1 injury away from having to start wr’s that wouldn’t even start at etsu

There is no feasible way for us to out recruit UGA and OSU.

Ohio State is always a tough sell because they have been dominant in the B1G since I have started watching Football but Georgia is another story. Georgia wasn't seen as that elite of a program prior to Kirby Smart and, to lesser degree, Mark Richt era. We out recruited Georgia all the time prior to 2010.

This is the same line of thinking that leads to getting blown out by Ohio State and not having any playmakers to compete with the big boys

Correct. And we have drawn a favorable schedule again. I think 2025 is the year we break the road curse at the Swamp and/or Bryant Denny.....

Do that and finally beat UGA at home and we are at 10-2 again.

Heupel has been a beast the past 3 seasons at home with the exception of a loss to Georgia.... Winning on the road and finally breaking the losing streak vs UGA will be opportunities next year.

If we win in the swamp and at Tuscaloosa, and also beat Georgia at home, why are we 10-2? Who are the two losses?
