Probably.

Hopefully poor Tony Stewart blows an engine on lap two so he doesn't have to be subjected to a little beatin' and bangin'.

Did u happen to hear his and Dale Jrs comments after the shootout yesterday.

yeah, Tony was whining as usual, and Jr. said that bump drafting was necessary and that he had fun out of there.

If you take away bump drafting at Daytona, there wouldn't be any passing. The cars need a shot from another car to be able to get by someone anymore down there. Blocking will kill someone before bump drafting does, and Tony was doing plentiful amounts of blocking yesterday.

People can put Tony Stewart down all they want, but he is the best racer out there today.

Maybe the Hendrick drivers will race instead of taking out the whole field of cars.

lol. yeah right.

they interviewed kyle busch before the shootout and he said. "i hate this track. i want to race on a real track like california where i can put around and watch gordon's little hiny."

the restrictor plate races and what makes nascar.

what a friggin loser. he should just skip these races and give real racecar drivers a chance.

I don't like neither one of'em, they're both chronic whiners, but Stewart and Gordon are the best drivers. I'd be happy to put money on either one of them any given race.

Just because Gordon doesn't go out there and race anything he can all the time doesn't take away from his high level of talent, he's won in everything along the way, just like Stewart.

Smoke doesnt like restrictor plates......He's a run what ya brung. His comments are to only try and wake up NASCAR/France/Helton/Darby. Real race fans will watch a unrestricted race at Daytona or Dega. Half of the field would complain 210-220 in single car practice is too dangerous. Toss the plates, Remove the 13 gal fuel cells and back to the standard 22gal. Sure have a common rear deck lid rule and spoiler height. Let'm race like they did 20 years ago......Hope it warms up just a tad by thursday...The rain and wind reminds me too much of Charlotte for the 500 in Oct. Brrrrrrr. :bad:

Hope not, Bobby Labonte always has bad luck and is somehow always pulled into the wrecks.

I don't see why Nascar has such a problem with 210-220. The IRL runs close to 240 and nobody is trying to slow them down. I know that Nascar is trying to prevent another wreck like the one Bobby Allison had, but imo restrictor plates make things worse. The last time that the drivers were complaining before the 500 this much was 2001, and we all know what happened then.

I honestly don't think the dump drafting wilkl be a huge problem the whole race... they're not gonna be on top of each other for the whole Daytona 500. The Bud Shootout was just that, a short race so they had to stay on it to have a chance. They'll get strung out in the middle portion of the race, which is pretty boring, but safer anyway.

It'd suck for it to end up like the 2004 500... no cautions in the last 100+ laps so EVERYONE was strung out, the biggest pack at the end of the race was like 4 or 5 cars.

Course I'll take the result of that race again. :D

Dale Jr. will hook up with someone during the race and move to the front before the big one happens....Tony Stewart will drop back until the last 50-60 laps I would say and let things play out and then make a run....He'd be dumb not to, he's lead enough laps to win the race just not lead the right one....towards the end though, it will come down to teammates.....Whoever wins is going to have to keep the Hendrick cars by them selves because if two of them get in line together that's it....No passing them....I'm gonna say Dale Jr. wins it, but it'll be close....half a car length, he's looked good in the draft
