Okay two things I'm sure have a simple explanation but I do not understand...

1.) Ohio state (12-0) Is not in the AP top 25 ... why?

2.) Okay so Notre Dame is playing the winner of a Georgia vs Alabama SEC Championship. But wasn't this the first year of a 4 team playoff... what happened to that?

1.) They are in the AP top 25 and are sitting at #4. They are not in the BCS standings because they're currently under an NCAA postseason ban.

2.) The 4 team playoff doesn't start until 2014.

Ohio State was already awarded the championship before the season. They won't receive a trophy, just tattoos!

1) They are ranked fourth in the AP poll. Wtf are you talking about?
2) That's a couple years down the road.

Drugs are bad ummmkay

I understand somebody initially misunderstanding when the playoff was going to start. However, with ESPN talking weekly about the BCS rankings I'm not sure how anyone would still think it was happening this year.

Also ESPN has said about 500 times today that Ohio St. isn't bowl eligible this year because of probation.

To specify this one a bit further:

1)the AP poll is not part of the BCS bowl rankings

2) the polls that are (coaches, Harris, varying computer polls) have policies against ranking teams currently serving bowl bans (to keep them from ending up at the top of the rankings)

No one likes a know-it-all. Just kidding, I wasn't actually sure how that worked, good info.

BUT!!!!! Ohio State can still win the AP National Championship.

If the AP's still got them only at #4 at this point, then it's not likely to happen at this point (though I have to admit, I was concerned about such earlier in the season)

Oddly enough they probably will. After Bama beats ND, Ohio State will be the only unbeaten team left.

Except that if they haven't already put them ahead of teams like Alabama and UGA at this point, then it means they voters are most likely not going to, despite the ability to do so

For comparison, in 1993 - when Auburn was ineligible - despite finishing undefeated, the highest they ever reached in the AP poll was #4, behind a 1-loss Florida State, a 1-loss Notre Dame, and a 1-loss Nebraska

Despite the ability, all indications would seem to suggest a decision not to vote a team as such (unless perhaps some situation/ distinctive gap like "all the best teams were to have 2 losses" were to happen)

Also, in case you missed it:

The Doobie Brothers Broke up.

Michael Jackson is dead.

Fulmer doesn't coach at UT anymore.

Bruce Pearl is gay.

...

Just kidding about the last one! :p
