They have 13 seconds, need 10+ yards to get in FG range, NO TOs--and Spurrier/Garcia throws two passes down the middle the field!? They missed on the first--which would have gotten them well within FG range, but had the WR caught the ball the last 8 seconds could well have run out before he got tackled and the offense got lined up to spike the ball. It's incomplete--so with 8 seconds left they do it again! Garcia completes--a pass--in the middle of the field, and the clock runs out! You HAVE TO throw to the sideline--and I'm astounded the 'cocks didn't. Cost them a chance to tie/win the game.

IMO, they should have spiked the ball with 12 seconds left and saved the TO. But, that isn't a clear call and the ball coach knows what he wants. As for the passes downfield, the first wasn't that bad of an idea. They were giving them the middle a bit and the Jeffries just had to drop to a knee. There would have been at least 5 seconds left to spike the ball ... with the clock stopping to reset the chains, there would have been 3 seconds left on the clock. The second was was definitely suspect.

Senior moment for Spurrier...he's hobbling around so much...doubt he has much longer to go.

I like the call, personally...cost them the game.

Good. I absolutely loathe having to pull for Auburn, but a loss for SC is fine with me. Again, I hate it, but I want Bama to win. At least then, everybody is sitting on 1 loss.
