Wyoming football player killed

It is a sad day here on campus. I'm absolutely sick over this and makes football seem very secondary during a time like this. It's going to be a tough week of practice for our players to get through.

Ruben was a great linebacker who was hidden gem we recruited out of Florida. He had a bright future ahead of him in our program. He will be dearly missed and my thoughts are with his family.

It always makes me realize that in an instant everything can be taken away. Heck, I'm young...that kid was younger than me and had his life taken away.

Wife just showed me the story. Tragic indeed. Prayers to family and Cowboy community.

Very tragic story. Our thoughts go out to the familys, Wyoming campus and team.
