42-25 at the half. Another long year for Jeff Lebo. Auburn must be shocked that hiring a bad coach has led to poor results. Funny how that happens.

Can't fault Auburn with hiring Lebo. At the time, he was pretty successfull at his previous 2 jobs at Tn Tech and Chattanooga.

Just hadn't panned out for them.

Then you obviously think Buzz Peterson was a good choice. Anyone who thought Jeff Lebo was a good hire should really reassess how they watch college basketball.

Jeff Lebo is the bankrupt man's Matt Doherty.

Although I once thought Lebo was a great coach, I have come to find his style more reckless than impressive. And - you were right, I did need to reevaluate how I watched the game. Actually, I still need to work on that.

This is ridiculous. Xavier continues to make teams in the big 6 conferences look silly.

X is good, but it's not like they're beating the heavyweights from those leagues.

Well yeah. But still. The manner they are winning is impressive. It's not as if they are playing the Presbyterian College's of the world either.

Anybody can look like a genius in hindsight, but how many people were out there questioning the hire at the time Auburn pulled the trigger?

Just show me some genuine criticisms that came out at the time of the hire, and I'll be satisfied. But I don't remember a lot of chatter/controversy at the time.

Well, I can honestly say I wasn't criticizing it at the time. I was happy for Lebo and hoped that he would find success there.

I can't think of a single person whose opinion I respect who thought Jeff Lebo would be successful at Auburn. He did absolutely nothing at Tech or Chattanooga to indicate he would win in the SEC. It speaks volumes that Doug Dickey thought Lebo would be a good SEC coach.

By hiring Lebo instead of Mike Anderson, Auburn got exactly what they deserve.

This would be why I tend to yield to you and a few others on this board about all matters basketball related save my personal favorites as far as players go.
