Just got done seeing this, really good movie, glad to see they have the franchise back on track after the last two movies. Mcavoy and Fassbender were really good, decent enough story, and some nice action sequences. It really didn't seem to mesh with the other X-men movies but no biggie. Nice cameo as well. Alot of people in the theater were disappointed at the lack of an end scene, so don't bother staying in the theater after it ends.

I did think they tried to cram too many characters in the movie which left some a bit underdeveloped. Some of the CGI could've been a little better as well. Marvel is 2 for 2 though so far this summer. Oh and Bacon was pretty cool in this.

yeah. ....it's a little annoying having what you knew molded to fit their new direction. but it was still pretty good.

Is it that hard to watch the other movies to get the continuity correct?

Unless they are totally ignoring Wolverine and Last Stand , which wouldn't be bad.

X1 is my favorite followed very closely by X2. I agree, 3 and especially Wolverine were terrible. I did like how they got Gambit in it though since he was always my favorite character.

X1 is a classic example of a perfectly good movie getting utterly ruined by a small piece of garbage film-making. Honestly Storm's line to Toad before she fries him is the worst line in all of movie history, and I can't get over it. It is such a poor attempt at a clever quip that Schwarzeneggar probably could've improv'd something better.

Gambit was one of the lamer parts of that movie. Really bad portrayal of him.
