Blast away. All the confidence I had about this team and program is now gone. I don't expect Spurrier to turn things around here and its time for a new coach. Some things will never change, and that's us at the end of the year. I apologize to all the Vol fans for our showing as an SEC team.

Nice game. Atleast we lost to a top 10 team, you lost to a team that was very average.

Well since this has been a joke of a bowl season for the SEC as a whole so far, might as well go ahead and hope that Bama loses as well.

Under different circumstances, I would say something.

It's the same thing every year, you guys come out and start 5-1 or 6-0 and then when you hit the meat of that SEC schedule, you just can't get over the hump...Spurrier just hasn't got it anymore, that and it seems like you guys don't want to put the money in the football program to get top recruits....I thought Spurrier could turn it around but I was way wrong.

There was no excuse for the way we played against Va. Tech but they were just a better team, our need for an OL glared Thursday night, not to mention a bulky defensive line, we got whipped on both sides

I dont think it's spurrier not having it anymore as much as it is south carolina being a coaching graveyard. it's just a tough place to turn into an sec power.

You might be right. It's possible that USC, Kentucky, and Vandy are in the toughest position of any teams in the country to turn around because there are 3 established powers ahead of us in our own division. Top recruits will ALWAYS go to UF, UGA, and UT so getting enough for ourselves while also fending off Clemson is a hill that's almost insurmountable.

Glad you finally get it. Your trash program will continue to be trash until the end of time.

I think its a little bit of both.....It's just hard to recruit to a place that has no tradition

I think part of the problem is that the difference between being 50 % of the way "there" and 80 % of the way "there" comes out to about the same record, in the SEC. Look at all the 7-5 teams this year.

Spurrier didn't suddenly get stupid. It's just the difference between having elite talent at Florida and average talent at South Carolina.

I think he's never really been able to adapt his coaching to the fact that he has crappier players, though. He still draws up plays for players that he simply doesn't have anymore.

You'd think he'd revert back to his days at Duke..... He won there with even CRAPPIER players.....
