Black Liberation Theology is expressly anti-middle class. We're reaping what Jeremiah Wright has sown.

Repeal the Bush tax cuts for the rich and just hand it to the poor. EIC is not enough.

To play devil's advocate on this circle-jerk of a forum, we were already heading into recessionville before Obama even left the station.

But come on. Did you read the crap? Never eve tried to account for all the folks who filed tax returns that showed almost no income due to capital losses or RE losses, yet made way, way, way more than poverty level income. That number is enormous and they just pass this off as hard fact.

I heard a report yesterday that 55% of all American households receive some kind of Federal handout. SS is in that number, but still. BHO's goal is 75%.

Even the leaders of countries in Europe are telling us to stop the spending and handouts. But, they are not THIS administration. WE can do it when one other country in the world can!

Listening to NPR yesterday discussing this report. A social activist made the argument that creating jobs wouldn't help people. They just need to be given aid. I hate a handout mentality.

In the short term jobs dont help people because they lose income. However, you can't plan an economic policy based upon the short term.

What??? That makes no sense. I've been unemployed and collected unemployment. As soon as I found a job my income went up.

with food stamps and government aid some can make more money than they could working minimum wage. That's the problem. Why go find a job when you can make just as much or more sitting at home talking on your government subsidized cell phone and free cable.
