I just saw that and it gave me chills to read it. Right time, right guy, and the right program. Most of the conf. hates us anyway so I say bring it on! Also on the CBS and ESPN message boards they are talking about UT, and doing it with a straight face.

That speaks volumes about Coach Pearl. He understands more than basketball. He understands the marketing part. He understands what he has to do to get people interested in his program and he does a great job with it. Once he gets them interested, he gives them something talk about.

Just look at all this press that our team is getting. I would say we have had more press in the last 2 months than we had in the last 5 years.

At this point, the thing that I admire about him the most is that he talks the talk, walks the walk, and is able to keep himself and the team focused throughout. It's a balancing act and he's good at it.

Basketball at Tennessee has arisen from the murky depths of a watery grave; the Vols are beginning to shine like the "pearl" from the belly of a rough barnacle covered oyster.

Now the oysters need to be cultivated, and the "pearls" need to be polished&#33;&#33;&#33;

Bruce Pearl is the man of the hour isn&#39;t he....It&#39;s nice to get some Basketball Love at Tennessee for once...

I&#39;ve never been much of a hoops fan....but...HOT DAMN&#33; I LOVE THIS GUY&#33; Hmmmm.....I wonder.....is this the second coming of Steve Spurrier...as a basketball coach? :p with class of course&#33; Gotta love him if he belongs to your team&#33;

Tennessee has 20 Division I athletic programs, 19 of which played in its NCAA tournament last year. The one that didn&#39;t? Men&#39;s basketball.
