Is anyone else glad to see UT finally pony up and pay for a coach?

$3 million a year puts CBJ as the 9th highest paid coach in FBS, and 4th highest in the SEC.

thought this thread would have a different meaning behind it when i opened it. I'm disappointing. We paid the 9th most for possibly the 40th best coach in Div 1 (being generous)

You're right. You are disappointing. On so many levels. At least that's what your mom told me last night.

Jones isn't worth $3 million--that's a fact--and he would have come here for less, I'm sure. Somebody from a bigger program would have been worth $3-4 million but not a guy who wasn't even at Cincy that long. But we were going to spend money, that was clear.

Coaches pay is starting to get out of hand just like baseball salaries. This is just the start of it. Salaries will double in the next 5 years. Its not my money though. Its just the lottery scholarship money.:lolabove:
