From UK board....

Re: Lofton to UK Transfer if Indiana gets Pearl??

If these Tenn fans really think that BP would rather stay at UT just for a few thousand dollars more and turn down a job such as a tradition rich IU where he would be the "man" then they're stupid. Think about, IU or UT? No brainer. National exposure and the recruiting would be top notch at one of the top three programs of all time. Enjoy the remainder of your fluke season. BP will use this as a stepping stone to a better opportunity if not IU, somewhere.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I am enjoying this "fluke" season. It's always nice to be on top of the East looking down at Kentucky and wondering if they're going to make it to the tourney. :birgits_giggle:

There are few things more pathetic to see than rabid Cat fans' going incoherent after a loss. They respond to losing like it's a natural disaster or something.

It's been awhile since I've enjoyed a UT men's basketball season. As a matter of fact, it was back during the Ray Mear's teams - the "Ernie/Bernie Show!"
GO VOLS!!!!!! What an incredible season! Both basketball teams in the top 10! Does anyone remember when the last time that happened this late in the season?

I tried to tell you guys these people in KY are losing their minds. Basketball used to be what they did best.

Why would Lofton want to transfer to UK so his 3 point production can go down? He must be in heaven in Pearl's system. He'll like it even better once we get some more players who are a shooting threat.

Sounds like Kentucky is adjusting to having to finish 2nd or 3rd in the SEC in "their" way.

No peyote needed. They are just exporting less of their cash crop these days.

Hmmmm... tradition is more important than $$$ and appreciative fans... who knew? By this logic, Dennis Frachione is the coach at Wahlabama still.

And Rick Pitino is still the UK coach.

the whole BP coaching carousel is getting ridiculous...NCSU fans calling in on radio shows here wanting him or Bobby Knight. the constant rumor about him going to UI at season's end or Iowa...

I just can't see it. it's not worth talking about unless he takes an interview....and there's nothing to indicate that it's even a remote possibility right now except what fans keep "wishing" for.

If this season's a "fluke", so is Pearl. What program in it's right mind would want a "fluke" to head it up? UK's board is absolute nonsense.
I appears they see the writing on the wall for a long time to come.

How is he not the man here? The whole city is in love with him, he could run for major right now and get 100% of the vote. He would have sky high expectations by going up there, where here 18 wins is an great acomplishment. And no way would Lofton transfer

I think Pearl can ONLY achieve ledgendary status if he stays at TN. Anybody can win in places like KY, Duke, NC, or Indiana because of thier history. But it's something else to make HISTORY. Pearl has all the ingredients right here to do something no one dreamed could happen..turn TN into a basketball DYNASTY. We have the facilities, the money, an obsessed fan base being turned towards basketball, the mountains and lakes and temperate climate, great recruiting pool with our state being the epicenter of the Eastern US, one of the fastest growing economies in the nation, I could go on and on but the point is, Bruce can be the best and achieve every possible dream right here in K-Town, the City of Pearls.
