I think our basketball team is coasting right now. I don't think we are even seeing what they are capable of. Everyone has been saying that this team can't possibly play much better, but I think the best may be ahead.

I think we are really benefitting from those tough games we had in December and January against teams like Texas, Okla St., LSU, Memphis, Florida. Those games forced our guys to buy into Pearl early on.

I'm with you 100% on this one. I think the team's likely to kick it into a completely unexpected overdrive come tournament time.

Sheesh, what a turn around.

I agree freak. I think this team can make some noise at tourney time. I wouldn't be suprised to seem them in the Elite 8. I think it depends on the draw.

Do you think they can win the SEC tourney? Who do you think our match ups may be?

RHEABER!!!!! Glad to see you posting again bro.

I think we can definitely win a game or two in the Tourney but there are a few teams that will be tough. Obviously UF and LSU would be tough games and I am still interested to see how we play Arkansas. I think we make it to Sunday and lose. I think our depth may hurt by day 3.

I think we give LSU a good game on a nuetral court. If we played them in Knoxville we win. This team has suprised me time and time again. Patterson is playing much better which I think would make a big difference.

Anything that takes some pressure off Wingate is a huge plus.

Just think if Patterson and Wingate could both have dominating games. This team plays like a team, but I don't think that they've fully "clicked" yet. They're really close though.

I wonder if this team looks any different with Jemere Hendrix. What happened to him anyway. I thought I heard rumors before the season that Pearl was going to let him re join the team.

Just rumors. He was kicked off for the fight with Daniel Brooks and Pearl was not going to let him come back.

He got busted with some grass.
Somehow I forgot about that. Wasn't he already suspended and after that happened he was dismissed?

lol, otd. I love how we are both unsure of ourselves on this one.

Yeah, I'd like to know what happened in the Hendrix situation, too. If we could somehow get Wingate to play hard all the time and hit the boards a little harder, and get JuJuan to make better shot-taking choices, there's no telling how much better this team could be.

Damn, I thought I got that edit in there quick. LOL

He got busted, but got kicked off for the fight. I just looked it up to be sure.

CBS SportsLine.com wire reports

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee senior forward Jemere Hendrix has been dismissed from the university, athletic director Mike Hamilton announced Monday night.

Hendrix was charged with marijuana possession and driving without a license in August in Covington, Ga.

No further information was provided by the university. It was not clear Monday night if the dismissal was related to the arrest or another incident.

Also mentioned in the release were the dismissal of football player Daniel Brooks and the indefinite suspension of basketball forward Andre Patterson.

Hendrix was arrested Aug. 13, according to Newton County Sheriff's records. He was booked into the jail just before midnight and released shortly thereafter on $1,780 bond.

Hendrix walked on at Tennessee after leaving Clemson with a foot injury in 2002. Last season, he played in 28 games and averaged 2.6 points and 2.7 rebounds.

Brooks had been suspended for the first three football games of the season following his arrest and guilty plea to a charge of driving without a license.

His family probably freaked out when they realized he had chosen to go to school at ClemPson.
