Just proves to me how screwed up the people we elect actually are. As of now I have completely lost ALL faith in either party until otherwise noted. What an IDIOT.

In another politics thread I posed the same thought. I was told it was my duty to vote even though the candidates placed b4 me were professional liars. I surmised thats why we have the politicians in place we now have, cause we voted for the lesser of 2 evils enough to morph into the political state we're in now. Something for dennis miller to rant about, and David Letterman to yawn about. Seems funny to me, the same folks who look down their nose at me as being an unsophisticated nobody are the same folks in a thread that talk outta both sides of their mouth and say vote its your duty, but don't be nieve and expect them to be much better than those you vote against. :dunno:

Agreed. Why vote for the lesser of two evils?? Career politicians are basically career crooks IMO and they will say anything to get you to vote for them. I have no respect for these people cause once their in office, you become a piece of dirt under their shoe. So like I said, until we get rid of ALL lobbyists and limit terms spent in office we will continue to allow the crooks to remain in office. Anyone ever wonder what happened to the over $1 billion in tax surplus here in Tennessee in the past two years?? I sure would like to know where my refund check is...

Note what happens in contested primaries. Special interests and party establishments typically flock to one candidate. That should be the first indicator of who NOT to vote for. Of course most of the non-establishment candidates are oddballs still living in their parent's basement. So we just need some good people to step up and run.
