I just saw on an aTm forum that Steve Spurrier might come to aTm according to the "wishing well experts". The thread was forever and a day long with guys arguing on both sides of the fence. Quite humorous if you ask me.

Steve isn't going anywhere. He's enjoying playing golf at Augusta National. Why would he go to the Aggies? I think that the SC job will be his last in coaching.

Thats my point Droski, "some" fans are over the top about their programs. "Some" fans. You and your generalizations about aTm are becoming exhausting.

go to texags.com and argue that A&M isn't an elite program. enjoy getting flamed.

I'm a member Droski. I appreciate your concern for my safety in my home team's forum, but I assure, you are no help to me all the way in California. The unrealistic views and opinons in EVERY college sports forums on the internet can be interpreted as "insightful" or "ridiculous". It is simply in the eye of the beholder. Much like here in Vol Nation, I assure you I can decipher the "fact" from "fiction" in Texags aswell. But such concern from a true blue Cal native is heartwarming.:cray:

Hey, TXVOL, I have often wondered, how did you become a TN fan and an Aggie fan? Which came first?

Lastly, who were you cheering for in the Cotton Bowl a few years ago?

To be honest, Texas A&M isn't a high profile job.

The 12th man thing is cool and watching Javorski Lane run is fun, but A&M needs a lot of work to be high profile. Like win the Big 12 every now and then.

also your "greatest fans on earth who never leave a game" were leaving in mass during the 3rd quarter of the holiday bowl last year. I think the band stuck around though. :p

nice picture Vader, certainly not my first time to see that one in here.....but I can laugh at it. Id have to say I was introduced to aTm first being a Texas native, however my moms side was always huge Tn fans, as they were Tn. natives orginally. Grandpa loved his Vols and I love my grandpa so naturally.....That particular game was a win win for me. It really didnt matter. That may be sacriligous to others but, I just enjoyed watching my two teams go at it. I was going to feel like a winner either way. Of course I hoped for a bit better showing from the maroon side of things...:cray:.....In short, having a favorite team in both the SEC and the Big12 is quite fun. Both are pretty competitive confrences, both very historical, and I like to think that I have a balanced fondness for each.

Droski-
wow, bragging about a bowl game....didnt see that one coming. By the way, your bears have only dropped one fewer than the Aggies this year. Your confrence has been ruled by the rich kids in the sandbox and to be honest, both of our respected schools are quite comparable. Taking shots at the fan base, when I didnt even bring it up, and or bragging about a bowl win is cheap imo. But ....ouch man....your really hurting my self esteem...please.

Wouldnt you HATE to be that kid. I mean, seriously, that photo will forever be linked to aTm getting it handed to them. And he is essentially the image that comes to link it to memory!!! :cray::birgits_giggle:

i was just joking with you. :salute:

I don't see how our schools are comparable though. You have a much better football tradition for instance.

tradition is really cool here, but much like the rest of the nation, we want to win. Period. The nega-aggies, or anti frans, or even, unrealistic pompus jerks who think that RC Slocum and Jackie Sherril hung the freakin moon and are gonna come back and lead us to

v-i-c-t-o-r-y!!! give off a weird vibe. Its true they are prevelant all over the nation, but I guess I see it more often since I live in it.

this just in,...... Tennessee will certainly not be getting John Gruden as their next coach. Today, the "experts" at Texags.com have all but confirmed that he will be in College Station next year. Yesterday - Spurrier. Today - Gruden. I bet we get Jimmy Johnson or at least Bill Parcells by Friday!!!!
